I get Metformin and insulin test strips for diabetes. For some reason, I could only get a 30 day supply even though I'll be using them for the rest of my life. Every month, I got the same runaround. The pharmacy says that they can't refill my prescription because I'm due for lab work. The doctor says I'm not due for lab work yet. Then, the pharmacy says that my insurance doesn't cover my brand of test strips. The doctor prescribes a new brand. The insurance says that they don't cover the new brand, but would have covered the original brand. This went on and on every month for almost a year. Refilling my prescription turned into a two or three day ordeal. Finally, I lost my cool and told them all that if I need to find a new doctor, pharmacist, and insurance company, I will, but I am not going to deal with this every 30 days for the rest of my life! The next day, I got a 90 day supply, and I've had no trouble since.

We turned ours on last night. It feels like we skipped fall this year and went straight from summer to winter.

Both of these reminded me of myself. I haven't used a little, red and white bobber in decades, but when I close my eyes the night before a fishing trip, I still see them going under. I can't tell you how many times I've woken myself up setting the hook. My wife thinks I'm having bad dreams due to PTSD. In reality, I'm just disappointed that I missed the fish.
