I bought about $60 worth of “stuff” from Mudhole a few weeks back. My wife ordered some stuff from Temu the same day. Her order came before mine did. My product arrived at the delivering post office in HSV on a Saturday, it wasn’t delivered until Thursday.

I’m not sure what time I’ll have available (I’m an instructor, not student, so…), and I won’t have transport, but I’ll plan on bringing my BFS setup cause I can get that in my luggage as my rod is a 2 piece (only 2 piece I own). I’m sure I can find something to put a line in!

Mirror cuts just like glass. Should have no issue if you use a glass cutter. Let us know how it turns out. Mine is way overkill size wise and I think I’m going to rebuild it anyway…

I love how in the pic it looks like you’re holding a shotgun over your shoulder, only to realize it’s a baitcaster…you could easily photoshop a gun in there and land in Garden and Gun with that mustache…

I’ll be in the Carlisle, PA area starting 4 June. I’ll be there for a couple of weeks attending a baseball umpire academy. Wondering if I should pack a pole?

I use a 365nm wavelength light, so it cures fairly quickly. I usually leave it in for an hour and take it out. The heat on that light fixture I have dissipates out the “back” which is on the top side (outside) of the box. Therefore, it doesn’t get hot in the box hardly at all. My first intent was to use mirrors as well, but I didn’t have any and had some tin foil sitting around. Not the best, but I haven’t had any issues yet.

It doesn’t. As for the spark shad/crush city mayor debate, just my 2 cents… Have a small-ish lake near me that empties into a creek that empties into a larger creek. Where smaller and larger creek meet, I’ve been catching 10-13 a day on the spark shad. All smalls, but fun on BFS gear none the less…yesterday, I had a mayor tied on and couldn’t even get a follower or anyone interested. I was throwing a 3” shad color of some type. Switched to a 3” spark shad (color:real) on a 1/8 okashira screw head and caught one on the first cast. As for all the other MB stuff, YMMV. I have a ton of baits and a few rods. I love it all…

Wrong thread

Seems like since the site was down, I actually fished more instead of just talking about it. I fished a local lake in town that I’ve fished before with -ish success. Well, I went two weeks ago when the site went down and wound up going 6 days in a row. I was catching 10-12 per day, all small guys. However, I was rewarded with this nice 3.5#’er one day. Don’t know how long she followed my spinnerbait, but she hit it about 6” from the bank.

They’ve gotten me a few times this month already…

Since the site went down, I didn’t know what was on sale anywhere…that said, in the time the site was down, I managed to snag 4 packs of WCZ micro citizen’s, a plethora of hooks and weights from Mudhole of all places (I had a GC and MudBucks), a few orders of JDM tackle from THU, some odds and ends from BassPro and Academy.

I use Shun Cutlery knives. Japanese knives that hold an edge forever it seems. They are owed by the same parent company of Kershaw knives and they offer free lifetime sharpening.

Good idea. My son FaceTimed me at like 1 am. He’s fished with me a few times but wouldn’t know a crankbait vs a spinner bait. My son is Japanese “centered” and loves the Japanese culture, so he was trying to communicate in his Alabama accented hillbilly Japanese to the staff.

Did you have to be on the phone with her while she was at Joshuya? My son spent about 3 weeks in Japan last summer after he graduated HS. He called me at every tackle shop he went to.
