  1. Yeah, it kinda is a hybrid between the two.
  2. I fish with the hook 9 (I’m a kayak guy). It does what I need it to do. I run it on a 10 Ah nocqua battery and it lasts a good long while. Except for this morning. Got to the lake and didn’t realize my battery was low. Oh well:..
  3. Not horizontally, but at an angle.
  4. Figured I’d give an update. Took one of my eggs out to Guntersville this am. The good? Nice top water blowup on 2nd cast. 3.4lb, 18.5”. The bad? The hooks are sharp. Got caught in grass, ripped it free and I immediately had a 3/4oz bullet heading right back at me at like Mach 28 or something. Imbedded in my shin. 2 options. Option 1) keep pushing hook, clip barb, replace hook. Option 2) yank out with pliers. I had been on the water for like 15 mins. I chose option 2. (I also don’t carry replacement trebles with me and I didn’t want to stop fishing the egg just yet).
  5. Still new to the grass piece, but it is effective at Guntersville. Fished a small “finger” this am (north sauty refuge). Submerged grass is about 1-2’ under surface level. Eel grass out the wazoo, hydrilla as thick as madusa’s hair. The grass piece just swims right through it like it’s nobody’s business. Caught one this am. Really first time fishing it, however, i can say it will be killer at Guntersville.
  6. Stop. Just stop right there. Spoken like the real bait monkey.
  7. It seems as if you have a video about EVERYTHING. What about brushing teeth? Just throwing a wild one out there…
  8. How good of friends? The drum set may have been worth it? 😂😂
  9. What model ranger is that? Looks smaller…like maybe a model I could afford?
  10. Send me a dm with your address
  11. Yeah, agree Dean. 😂😂

    Thanks all…either way, it’s a gill now…(still needs clearcoat)

I initially thought s crank as well, but doesn’t the s crank have a more pronounced “hump” up front? Edited to add - def not an s crank. This is a round bill, not squarebill…

Anyone know this crankbait? It was a bank find that I just stripped the paint off of to repaint. Size is about the length of a standard utility knife blade. Has a weight transfer system and a humped back. Didn’t weigh it, but I’d say no more than 3/8 oz. I think it may be the bill lewis MR-6, but those are only 1/2oz?
  15. @king fisherWhere’d you get the bladed jigs? They look like grass pieces. As I stated yesterday, I went back to BPS today and bought 20 eggs. 4 of each color. A kid and his grandpa were commenting about them as I was checking out and I handed one to him and told him to catch em all. So, below is 19 of the eggs. I’m planning on custom painting these…
  16. I went back and bought 20. 4 of each color. A kid and his grandpa at the checkout were commenting about it and I figured of the 5 colors, American Shad was the best all around for here, so I walked out with only 19 of the 20. I could really use some karma! Anyway, here are the pics as requested. Top to bottom: Chart Sexy Shad American Shad Ghost Shad Bone Red Craw
  17. Yeah Dean - only one size. They aren’t online anywhere and the guy at BPS didn’t know anything about them. The don’t scan in the app nor do they show up on the website or app when searched. I do wish they had the smaller one as well, but the bigger one fishes good, so be it…
  18. I have said donkey leash. I can attest to its ability to hold onto a 7lber while paddling (slowly) back to bank (about 100 yds) to change batteries out on a scale. The entire paddle time took like 20 mins because it was dictated by his swimming with a gentle persuasion here or there for direction. At no time did I “drag” the fish just to get a weight. (Just cutting that off in preparation in case I did something wrong)
  19. I think I’m going to go back today and buy the rest. I’ve been practicing on my airbrushing skills…
  20. Yep. I have academy and BPS local. I’m in there (both) several times a week just because I get bored staying at home. The coupon is gone now, but I got a free $30 out of it. A nice pair of bubba pliers, a whopper plopper 60 and a package of tumbleweeds. Oh, and it helped feed my Diet Coke/reeses habit. I do have a $40 off $150 now. So, an SLX 70a for around $100 doesn’t sound bad…
  21. I just spooled some Varivas on my BFS rig. Aside from the Daiwa J Braid Grande, it’s the only “Japanese” PE/braid I’ve tried. I’m normally an 832 guy due to its ubiquitous availability nature alone…
  22. Unless you want a LH 7.3:1. For some reason, that particular model is still $150! 😂😂
  23. I was going to tie one on this afternoon, but the wind was blowing pretty good. Wound up leaving it in the package. Mine came direct from Japan, and I’m afraid to lose it!!
  24. I know some folks on here like the egg crank/wake by bass pro. I’ve never seen one in person, but know they have some love. Anyway, was in my local BPS today and noticed they had some “egg wake” on the peg. 2.5”, 3/4 oz, surface to 1’ running depth. Not sure if this is the same “the egg” from a few years back as this was packaged in the new XPS black packaging. Anyway, I bought one. My BPS has a lake in front, so I tied it on and casted out a few times. I went back inside and bought the other 4 colors. $6 ea. American Shad, Chart Sexy Shad, Ghost Shad, Bone, Red Craw are the 5 colors in stock at my local BPS. Will probably go buy some more. They are not online or in the app. Scanning by barcode or by searching brings up zero results. So, if you’re one of those that like the egg, check your local BPS. If you’re one that likes the egg and you don’t have a local BPS, DM me. I’d be glad to ship some y’all’s way.
  25. I found some bass pro egg wake crankbaits today at BPS. I bought all 5 colors they had. Probably will go back and buy more tomorrow. Also picked up a package of SK tumbleweeds from Academy this am and a Whopper Plopper 60 from Academy last night.
