Trouble finding a split ring tool small enough
You can get the xuron “like” ones mentioned above at hobby lobby. They’re in the jewelry section. For me, they left a little to be desired. I was going to buy a small pair of the Texas tackle ones, but they were out of stock at the time. I wound up with a pair of Dr Slick’s from TW that I’ve been super pleased with… https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Dr_Slick_Eco_Split_Ring_Pliers_w_Side_Cutter/descpage-DRSPLR.html

New Plano Boxes - anyone tried them?
@webertime - don’t disagree, but the latch isn’t the same as the one on the edge series boxes…just some food for thought. Edited 4/26 - Was in BPS today. The latch differs in that it’s a “one position” latch. What I’m trying to explain is on the edge boxes, you have to make two moves to open/close it. In the new configuration, you just pull up on the latch and it opens. Not pull up and then out and then up like on the edge boxes.

Life time warranty’s?
that’s still a good deal. St Croix’s replacement cost is $60

It finally happened…
Tom - I’m using the spear point wacky/neko hook. Recommended to me by the guys at lakefront on Guntersville. I just have it rigged wacky style, no o-ring, hooked through the middle of the senko…

It finally happened…
Now, in my defense, I don’t fish them very much, BUT, I finally caught a fish on a senko. I know, I know, blah, blah, blah… Anyway, I stopped by a local pond the other day. A kid I umpire in baseball was fishing there so we talked a few and he was catching a few on a pink trick worm. I grabbed my stick and threw a senko. Second cast, got a bite…a few more casts, again. Caught about a 8” bass on a 5” senko. I had a hard time setting the hook. Was fishing on a Daiwa 6’6 arid x spinning, mf. It felt reallly, really noodle-like when trying to set the hook. Is that because it’s a M?

Life time warranty’s?
Say more please? I’ve had zero issues with costa warranty and I’ve used it about 4 or 5 times over the past 15ish years…

New Plano Boxes - anyone tried them?
I actually looked at them in store yesterday. I was intrigued. I’ve been super pleased with my $9 waterproof boxes from academy lately, so… That said, I saw the new evolution ballistix boxes and they look good. I like the look of the 37D

MLF Redcrest at Guntersville
I absolutely agree and understand the helmet issue. I just didn’t know they do/did that. Wondered if it was a rule or something. But then I saw that DC was the only one in the boat wearing said helmet and that what got me to wondering…

I feel so inept.
Forget trying to program one, I’d like to see the look on their faces when you tell them they have to rewind the “tape” before it can be watched!

TWO Boating Accidents At Pro Tournaments Today. 3 Killed.
Local news reported that all three deaths at Smith Lake were passengers/fisherman. One passenger and the captain survived. All three causes of death are being ruled blunt force trauma.

TWO Boating Accidents At Pro Tournaments Today. 3 Killed.
Yeah, it was a real question, but context gets lost on keyboards. I didn’t mean it as “what do you want them to do” type of thing. It was more of a “what can they do to prevent that”? I am actually wondering what they could do? Could they go to a later start time? I don’t watch or know much about how the format of tournaments are really…

TWO Boating Accidents At Pro Tournaments Today. 3 Killed.
Forget fog. I get antsy on Guntersville in my kayak if I’m not fishing one of the coves or bays or something…if I’m ever on main lake, which is quite infrequently, I do get scared awfully quickly…

TWO Boating Accidents At Pro Tournaments Today. 3 Killed.
Aside from a delay for weather, what other steps could’ve been done to prevent this? I’m not sure. I wasn’t there. I’ve fished Smith Lake, but not miller flats, so I’m not sure about the location…

TWO Boating Accidents At Pro Tournaments Today. 3 Killed.
I just read the news story…not only did this happen about an hour south of me, one of the victims was from near where I grew up in MS. I knew the family, but not him personally. I went to church with one of his cousins or nephews or something like that.
