  1. Crushed it on the susky this weekend. Nothing huge but a good fun time out with lots of numbers
  2. I get the days I get to fish so I pretty much have to deal with whatever or not go. I check the weather apps and look at the wind forecast. I don’t care what direction. I honestly really don’t care about wind below 25mph. It may change where I go sometimes but, I only really worry about that a couple days before.
  3. Actual on the water fishing? 3-5 I would say. Now when I musky fished I’d be doing 10-12 hours.
  4. Ask the boater what he recommends. Some say bring it all! Others say bring 3-4 rods and enough baits to get through the day. 9 chances out of 10 you’re only going to use a handful of things anyway.
  5. Tubes, ned rigs, drop shot I use spinning. Texas Rigs and pitching jugs I tend to use a bait caster. When set up correctly I have much more control with a bait caster. For feeling the bottom the spinning rods win for me.
  6. Are you sure the strap did nkt some how loosen on the winch itself? Like underneath it. You wouldn’t be able to tell by looking.
  7. The river was blown out so I had to make a lake trip.
  8. I’ll throw some 3.75-4” jerkbaits, crank baits, top water. Usually I do not go over that. I ground my teeth musky fishing. I saw many smb come in on the smaller”big bass style” musky lures and not commit. At least where I am at the big bait big fish doesn’t hold true most of the time.
  9. @JHoss below the conowingo is tidal water. The Maryland waterways have different regulations.
  10. @JHoss in the last 5-7 years? Something like that they only started allowing catch and immediate release tournaments on the river. That is also when they changed you can fish for bass during that time on the river. I do not think it will ever be a none catch and release waterway. That's my opinion. @TnRiver46 I posted the link. It is for the susky only. Catch and release year round and you cannot make repeated casts at beds. Now the north branch Susquehanna “above sunbury” you can keep and have live weigh ins. The majority of the kayak tournaments are done below sunbury.
  11. @JHoss the not casting to beds may only be on the Susquehanna reading this. Which is where I fish. If you know anything about the history of the susky there was a time there was almost no fish in it. That is really blurry but here is the link.
  12. In my state you cannot make repeated casts at fish on beds. So it’s really a none factor for me since it’s illegal.
  13. @Swamp Girl the whole susky is a rocky snagged filled mess. I learned to just chuck and hope 😂 that is the game I play. So if I go to a lake darn sure I’m casting into whatever mess is there.
  14. @12poundbassmy hats off to them for having that kind of wealth to do it!
  15. You said you really enjoy square bills. The one key I can give you to using them is keep pounding them in to cover or the bottom. I crank really fast few slow cranks maybe a pause than back on it hard. You will break lips, you will get snagged but that’s the square bill life.
  16. @MontanaBasser I watch that and seriously question my life choices that I cannot afford one 😂😂
  17. I back 90 degrees up an inclined driveway into a single car garage. I have about 8 inches either side of the boat if I am perfectly centered. I do not even move my wife’s car out of the drive way anymore. one other key. The second you feel something isn’t going right just pull forward and get straight again. Once you start the zig zag it’s very hard to get out of. Pulling 3 feet forward saves you a lot of headaches.
  18. Sleeping in for me is 5am. I’m usually up at 3-3:30 every single day. enjoy your time with your wife. Family first.
  19. My only real complaint for wind is not being able to see the current breaking around rocks. Other than that I am pretty much indifferent to it.
  20. @bp_fowler thank you sir! @Swamp Girl I have been very lucky lately to get on them
  21. FedEx or whoever can pay the tariffs to get it released. You than you will be invoiced separately from them. I know people have mentioned this in the past. It’s luck of the draw who gets nailed I guess.
  22. Enjoyed my birthday.
  23. @gim as long as your insurance pays me 😂😂
  24. @12poundbass someone had to do it!
