@Tennessee Boy I respectfully disagree with you. Pros are coming out and saying FFS changed that you do not need the knowledge anymore. This has been on a few podcasts with different pros.

I tend to barrel in hard. I mean coming off plane a few boat lengths of where I want to fish. Mainly because I am in current and it will take me a long time with my TM on high to get in somewhere. I also do not really way point in the river much. It’s more of fishing an area if that makes sense. now I do have a habit of barreling in on lakes which I am trying to break. Honestly with as much boat traffic and wake that is on that lake I really doubt it matters in most area of it.

@gulfcaptain see you’re playing both sides of the fence. If I drive 4 hours to fish as a co angler to win money I took a financial risk too. Sure it might be the boat but, I drove my vehicle there got a hotel and am getting my money agains everyone else’s I can beat people. Ending my day ruins all that for me. Where is it in the rule book that as the boater that I can’t sit out and scope all day? That co angler can in theory catch those fish too. They just do not have the same equipment. So what would the protest be of? Well he was scopin all day in the middle of the lake? I do not think that’s going to fly. @Koz you don’t need the knowledge. That’s one of people’s biggest argument with FFS.

@gulfcaptain I have a boat first off. Second if you were a series promoter and you gained revenue by having co anglers you should want to fill that field as well. Which they are having issues with because nobody wants to be stuck with someone in the middle of the lake scoping. From a pure promoter side of things it’s a terrible idea.

@Koz I agree in a co angler situation there should not be the use of FFS. I am willing to bet that most of the winning weight will come from the FFS period.

No one ever tells you how much time on the water it takes to consistently catch big bass. Big bass and big deer do not get that way by being “dumb”.

If you would see the way I spoil my reels you wouldn’t worry about doing it yourself. Right or wrong I have no idea but, the line gets on and I do not have an issue with it.

I had to give up racing motocross because of a back injury. I started fishing every chance I could after. I can’t say I really have any other hobbies. I am to poor for that. I do love walking my dog and engaging in activities with him. I can’t really say that’s a hobby. Winter time I usually veg out on video games. Once I can be outside fishing that’s what I do. i guess I live a pretty boring life

@gimruis I didn’t have a boat in 2016 lol my last boat when I originally got it didn’t have it either. I eventually got a TM with it. Never again will I be without it.

@Koz my boat is not endorsed by any pro. It’s actually illegal to use on any of the pro tours. Yet it is one of that companies best selling boats in the northeast. From what I see around 40-50% of boats around here have power poles. So now you cut that percentage down to people who would want crappie brakes. He was in a niche market to start with. Which can be good or bad. I have never saw anyone here with them. There is plenty of opportunity to market on social media. He needs to play the game and quit crying. This isn’t 1990s when all you had was Dale Earnhardt.

@Koz Bass fishing is such a small portion of fishing around the world. I was against FFS long before I was into bass fishing. They will never halt technology advancement over it. I would also argue now how many people even care about nascar anymore?

@Koz ask Suzuki how that went during their rein with Ricky Carmichael in pro motocross. Long story short it didn’t.

@Koz why would this stop it? There are many other fish people fish for that will utilize that technology outside of tournaments. The elites isn’t even 1% of all people fishing in the entire world.
