  1. I am as stealthy as a bull in a China shop wearing bells.
  2. Maybe he was trying to put himself out of his misery and you stopped that and he was mad? I was fishing onetime and a bunch of geese with goslings were going up the bank. One got caught in fishing line. (Do NOT get me started) anyway, I watched it a little bit. Beached my boat got it free than got chased by the adult for good measure. I do not like to see animals suffer so I would have helped that turtle or any animal I can try to help within reason. Hopefully that gosling grows up and someone/animal gets a good meal out of it.
  3. Man that’s rough. If it is the test per ford and they are following all of fords protocols on it I’m not sure what you can do. If you fail a test you do not get your money back for failing. I am also not saying it is right. It might be fords test to get those motors off the road. I hope you have a good outcome on this. I would be ticked though.
  4. We used to do stuff like this is the musky world.
  5. Welcome! I see you have blue marsh And leaser listed as your lakes. We may have bumped into each other at one point.
  6. I think trackers come with 45” shafts. Even if it’s long you can always cut it down.
  7. Awesome trip! Glad you had a good time and got into great fish.
  8. I think certain bodies of water are a lot more prone to the scoping of fish in open water. Where it sounds like the areas you fish are less dependent on it because you are fishing structure.
  9. @TnRiver46 it is a fairly tough lake. Very pressured. It is the closest unlimited HP lake in the area. The rest are 20hp or electric only.
  10. Yesterday I did my second tournament. Last year I decided to do one a year so I could 100% dedicate 8 hours to fishing for a day no excuses. This tournament was at blue marsh against mainly guys who fish Tuesday nighters there all summer long. The fish had to be mini 15” for the livewell. This is a big open lake that fits perfectly into the FFS use. had been rainy misty and nasty here all week. Blast off was at 7 and I pulled boat 27. The plan was to use fast moving baits over shallow weeds. After no eaters we made a big switch baits that could be paused long and/ fall slow. 11am we got our first keeper. We had some others that did not make the 15” cut off. Now the race was on to get a limit. We quickly followed up with another in the same area. There were also a few lost. We back tracked to another area we fished early doing this tactic. We got one more keeper and a couple non keepers. So 3 total at this point. We left time to hit the area we got the other two keepers at on the way to weigh in. With the pressure on I lost two fish in the last half hour. I completely blame myself for those two lost. I rushed them in and let them get airborne. We weighed in with 3 fish 6.92lbs. The winning weight was 16.02. Second was 15.07 third was 14.14 4th was 13.69. Big fish was 4.69 which went to the second place team. We had a blast. Ran on some adrenaline and took some fish to the scale. There was even a point when we got those two fish very close together we said hey! We aren’t out of this yet! Again, some mistakes and figuring out the pattern late hurt us. All things to build off of for our next one.
  11. I use ultegras I think they are very overlooked in shimano’s line up. Waiting on the timing from a Japanese website I have got them as as $107.
  12. The mega bass name adds the extra money. I am not saying a $15 spinner isn’t better than a Walmart cheapie. I do not use the Walmart cheapies. However, you are going to get something drastically better at $35.
  13. @Bird if the roads don’t get you the boat ramp will!
  14. @GRiver I’m actually not. We may get some showers out of it. Just normally a storm like this would have went right up the east coast and into us. the storm has pushed extremely humid air our way and ruined our cool crisp start to fall weather.
  15. Glad all of you seem safe so far. I am very lucky that I live in an area we rarely see. Weather like this. The hurricane is usually all torn up before it gets here. We will just end up with the flooding rain and not the damaging winds too.
  16. I am an ex musky nut. I used to musky fish 40 hours a week. Between 1.5 hour drives one way, FFS, killing of weeds and my trips outside of PA made me realize it’s not worth it here. I also have some of the most sought after smallie water ther is 30 minutes from me. No one comes here to fish for musky. People travel from all over to fish here for smallies. Now if i get the chance to go out of state to somewhere good I will gladly separate my shoulder ripping magdawgs.
  17. I’m sure there is plenty of people that will buy it here off you if you do not want it anymore lol
  18. Stay safe guys!
  19. Yeah there is no way that xpress was going to run a jet with that hull design. I am not familiar with the river raves. Everyone around here has a G3, SeaArk, tracker, Lowe or an inboard rock proof style jet boat.
  20. A step hull with a jet on it? How did it even run? You had to be cavitation like crazy. Jets need smooth flat bottoms to get the most water to the intake. Jets are super super finicky to set up. what work does the jet boat you boat now need? sounds like a crazy bad year for sure! I hope it turns around.
  21. I fish alone very often. Sometimes I like the company sometimes I do not. My doggie is almost always with me. He loves it and throws a fit when he doesn’t go. So summer time early trips and he has his very own fan
  22. @gimruis the only time it does not cut good is if I do not keep tension on the line. Than it will mush. Which this is my fault not the scissors. I’ve been using the same one for 6-7 years.
  23. @gimruis I have never had an issue cutting 80# braid 20# braid 20# fluorocarbon 10# florocarbon or any other line with my rapala from Walmart. the key is make the line taunt.
  24. @Koz I fished out of a Coleman scanoe for years. Had a TM and sonar. Not only myself but another person and we both were strictly musky fishing.
