  1. Last summer had to downsize as I now fish by myself due to wifes health issues. Went from a 22' down to this 16' , great boat, excellent condition, really enjoying the easier launch and load compared to that 22'.
  2. I see this is an older post, but I bought a used one of these last year. It came on a 16' Sylvan SC , all in excellent condition !! I was lucky enough to find a garage queen, I am the third owner, the other two always kept it in a garage. My motor runs excellent and pushes my boat very well, idles down to a crawl but does have that pesky restart issue. I have been experimenting ( getting used to it) and have learned some tricks to help that. Cant wait for spring to get it back out on the water !!
  3. Nothing wrong with 12" Crappie !! Of course a 14" is better !!
  4. Way back in the 60's ( I was a very young man) we would drop off our perch at the cleaners ( .20 cents per lb. ) to get them filleted. The old guy there ask me if I wanted to stay and watch, which I did many times. Never became as fast as he was, but over one summer, I became a pretty good perch cleaner!! Nowadays still clean my own, tried going back to cleaning service due to my arthritus, but didn't work as I now have become to picky about how my fish are cleaned !!
  5. Thanks, looking forward to some serious reading !!
  6. Rearrainge your gear, I also run a 16' aluminum boat with two group 31 batteries in front, spent a lot of time figgering the load placement
  7. Retired toolmaker here, just found this site and wanted to say hello. Been fishing and boating since I was a kid ( currently 72 yrs old). Fish mostly on Lake Erie, perch and walleye are my favorite, crappie and blue gill are second. Most of my bass fishing comes from my private pond.
