Biggin from the pond
This morning went out on the course and threw a purple blue and black strike king jig with a beaver trailer. A few casts later and Whamo-O! Nice December 15th Bass! Didn't have my scale but Im guessing 6-7 pounds. Man I was exhausted after running her back to the pond. Put her back in the water and I didn't know if she was going to make it. Gave her a little push and she swam away about a hundred miles per hour. Bad picture of me but good picture of the fish. Man, I could fit both my hands in her mouth! I'm 6-2 so maybe that can help you get an idea of the fish's size.

Best Bass Fishing State?
I think that Florida and Georgia would look as good as southern California if using large swimbaits (obviously not rainbow trout) was as popular as it is in Cali. Down here the whole swimbait thing is less popular, and I think there are less people on our top big bass producing lakes throwing big swimbaits all day long looking for a trophy bass.

How do you define a "dink"
Anything under 2 in Florida? Bro I live in Florida and I have seen people win small tournaments when the fishing is tough with 5 bass for 10 pounds. That means your hardly legal one pounder was a big help... along with a three pounder(s). And (if you have a scale) you know that a 1-2 pounder fights. A 1-2 pounder is way different than a baby bass that just skids in on the topwater when you reel it in. That is a dink.

What else have you caught while fishing?
I try not to catch seagulls, but in the saltwater they get you so mad because they dive at the zara spook or any other topwater. So annoying >

Helix Buzzbait
Funny you bring this up because I was about to start a thread about one of fishbelly's products, but I figured nobody ever used them. Have you tried the kick-s shad from fishbelly? they sell them at my local shop and they are awful. They do not kick at all. I made a big mistake of buying 3 packs of the 5 inch before even testing them first. Swim tail does not swim.

Who is in the central Florida area? Tampa-Orlando
We should get the people that use this site and live around here to all fish a tournament that is already going on, that way we wouldn't have to organize anything. I like that wednesday nights tournament on lake conway, but Im sure there are a lot of other choices.
