vaparrothead
Spent Thanksgiving on the Rio Unini fishing for peacock bass. Caught biggest fish of the week (and my PB) at 23 pounds. The following link has pictures of my trip: http://s241.photobucket.com/albums/ff192/rgreenwell1_photo

vaparrothead
Yep, you're sure right about those dogfish. We had one guide who broke their teeth off and set 'em free
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted December 5, 2007 Super User Share Posted December 5, 2007 Nice fish. Looks very inviting . I'm just not sure about that dirt runway......
vaparrothead
It's very safe and anyway it's part of the adventure. They've only had one crash and that was pilot error; forgot to lower the wheels--he's not flying anymore. No one was hurt.

TruiteBR
Yep, you're sure right about those dogfish. We had one guide who broke their teeth off and set 'em free That is sad, the fish probably died. That is not something a guide should do. Trairão is a great fish.

muskyxl
Did you guys have the opportunity to fish for Payara? Which outfit did you stay with?
vaparrothead
Daniel: Don't need a "special" bait for Dogfish; they'll hit anything that comes close to them, topwater, jerkbait, jig. You name it and they'll hit it. with their sharp teeth they'll easily cut braid and you'll lose that bait. That's why some of the guides break off a few teeth
