  1. Another to consider is the Spro Arucu Shad 75 & Spro Arucu Shad jr. I've got a box full. but only use 2 or 3 colors in both sizes. Don't worry about the "Roland Martin" endorsement, he didn't mean anything by it.
  2. Gotcha, Nice fish. Keep em coming I need the inspiration.
  3. Another great fish by DW. Way to go. Thought you used to be up around deland, where are you now?
  4. Have you loosened the spool tension knob?
  5. Well...... That broke easy. If you've set the hook and set your drag correctly, if the line isn't going out then reel it in. Simple. I'm not trying to be a smarta$$, just sounds like you're trying to complicate things. Are you having some kind of a problem? If you are tell us about it.
  6. Catt, he said he was on the James River. Last I checked, it was in VA. The current & Bottom Comp are different I'm sure. Nick
  7. Nice Looking fish Congrats
  8. Funny Thing, just walked out to the garage. All my bags say "Naked Swimmer". But we know what you're talkin' about dude. And yeah they have been producing for me over shallow topped out vegetation & in the pads lately. Haven't fished them anywhere else. My week isn't complete unless I stop in and visit the Monkey there. 8-)
  9. 3 yrs ago when I got my boat it was $13 for one day. I got my new permit just days before it was legal or whatever. So to fish one day before the decal was viable would have cost the 13. Decided I could wait. It was only $65 for the year for my rig. I probably fish the WP chain the most of all the waters I frequent.
  10. Trust me the daily pass is not cheap. Like $13 a day for my 17.5 Stratos with a 70 yammie. Annual pass is like $65. You do the math. They are a great chain to fish. I try to avoid weekends because of the water lice. There are some rather large predatory fish in those lakes. My avatar is on the WP chain.
  11. YEAH!!!! That's what it's about.
  12. Congrats & Welcome to the club. Feels good doesn't it.
  13. Congrats Nick, Yeah that is a great feeling.
  14. Good things come in small packages they say. Looks like y'all had a great time.
  15. If you ever get the chance to watch these fish on the bed, you'd understand. I've watched them pick up a bait 4 or more times so gingerly that if you weren't watching you'd miss the whole thing. When they get mad enough they seem to inhale it and carry it off the bed jut one more time. That's usually when I stick 'em. I'd be willing to bet that's what is happening.
  16. You're a lucky guy, count your blessings. Congrats on the fish & the expected arrival.
  17. Tim, If you're getting shiners then your one of the lucky ones. most bait shops from Orlando to Sanford haven't had big shiners for weeks. I'd say you're best bet is to catch them yourself. (now that! can be an adventure all by itself) Keep us posted.
  18. Hi! and Welcome aboard.
