I have a G Loomis E6X 842 SJR. I just bought it this year so I haven't used it much yet. I really like it, but I haven't tried anything but wacky senkos on so far. I'm not sure if the tip will be soft enough for drop shotting or not.

Just alternate the ends on each rod instead of putting all the reels on one end. I store mine vertically so I cant help with a rack.

What I've always done for solid spools is to tie a loop in the end of the line and then fish it out from under the spool with a small crochet hook. I also keep that small crochet hook in one of my tackle bags. That thing has got me out of more than one backlash that should have needed to be cut out!

You've heard guys argue about leader? Where? I do use a leader for drop shotting.

I owned both, bought new this season. I quickly sold the Tatula SV TW. The t wing is a solution to a non-existant problem. My old Daiwa Excelers & Abu Revo S reels would both out cast it. And yes, it was adjusted correctly. I then bought a Daiwa Fuego CT 8.1. Great reel, it's going on my Dobyns 735C for frogging. I also bought a Curado K 200HG last week. All I can say is that it is flat out awesome. It'll be the first reel I'll recommend to anyone looking for something new. You can huck a weightless worm as far as you need to with it.

What knot were you using?

I've almost bought a Legalis a few times. They really seem like a nice reel for the price.

I use a G Loomis IMX-PRO 853C. I love this rod. It's teamed up with a Shimano Curado K HG. For me it's just about perfect.

Well, it's new to me. And yes they will flow. It's a '96 Sylvan 1448 that will be converted to a duck boat.

I got a Daiwa BG 2500 yesterday. Unless I decide to buy a dedicated drop shot rod I'm probably done for the year. That's because I also bought a boat....

I got a BG 2500 yesterday. I haven't fished it yet but man it's smooth. It's replacing my old Sahara.

My favorite is Shimano, followed by Daiwa. I believe that they are 2 of the companies that build reels in their own factories, not contracted out.

I just went with a fast reel. Mine is a Daiwa Fuego CT 8.1. I got it on a 20% off day on the bay for a little over $50. It's not frogging temps here yet, but I've used it with mono on my worm rod. It's a great reel for the price.

33.87 EDIT: I was joking, but after looking mine is actually 33.9

Of those 2 I'd go with the 7.3. It's easier to slow down than speed up.

I use a G Loomis PR844C. I've updated a lot of my gear this year, but I wont replace this rod until it breaks.

He did say medium heavy. The 735 is rated for the lines he mentioned but it's a Mag Heavy rod. He also asked about lighter line. I'd go the 734 with a lighter line within the rods rating.

I know you're asking about the Sierra, but my 735C Fury weighs 6.2 oz on my scale. I imagine their pretty close to the same.

Put a T Wing on it!

I use either Sufix or Ande. I did just order some P line to try out though.
