  1. Caught 52 over the weekend, mix of bass and striper. Out of those 52, one keeper size fish
  2. Who knows, people are weird about line and usually just use what they know. It's a newer product from a company that hasn't traditionally sold line here so maybe just tough to get sales traction.
  3. Tackle warehouse selling Shimano mastiff FC 50% off. Anyone have experience with this line?
  4. I've made hundreds of casts with the karashi this year never had the hooks foul once. I would ditch the braid and go strait copoly maxima ultra green 6# or at least add a leader.
  5. you squeeze them vertically to open the sleeve and drop in your bait, then they hold with tension
  6. Spro sells them now too a little cheaper than the deps. Probably others around too these days. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/search-tackle.html?start=0&count=20&searchtext=Surppa
  7. Deps/SRP sleeves and XL Flambeau open trays
  8. Dirty Jigs California swim jig Evergreen grass ripper Bass Patrol football Keitech tungsten football Keitech tungsten casting Molix nano jig TW doesn't sell my favorite anymore, Dobyns extreme football. Amazon has them and sometimes stupid cheap like $1.50 each in a 3 pack.
  9. Copper State 20% off site wide no code required, whatever their usual restrictions are apply.
  10. Biked to the north end of the forebay once again attempting to catch some early fall striper. Got a couple rats early and had a halfway decent bite break me off on the hookset Little bass bite taking over Last striper of the day, all bass from here on out I think my personal record smallest bass to date Last one at the parking lot after packing up the bike
  11. The hookup tackle is doing a drop of 1/2oz grass piece on Sunday 8am Arizona time. I've never tried to score one but I assume they won't last long.
  12. Copper state tackle 30% off Nories and Deps. ends Sunday.
  13. Copper State tackle another good option out of Arizona. They don't charge sales tax, same as hookup tackle, that's a nice discount compared to most retailers.
  14. Quick morning session, with the moon and tide what it is I thought I might see some better bites in the dark. Probably wasted too much time trying to force feed them reaction, finally got a little guy on a GLF underspin. Switched to dropshot, third cast. Bite definitely slowed down with the sunrise, took a while to get #3 Thought for sure this was going to be a striper, popped up chasing bait in the main channel current. Final dink, headed home.
  15. Quick after work session with a front moving through, figured the change in the weather might shake things up a little. Rat #1 on the dropshot #2 felt like a good one but unfortunately just had a salad wad in the face getting a little better Last bite of the day. I stuck it out till sunset to see if there was any evening bite but no bass or striper activity.
  16. They hit the center/furthest back wire 99% of the time. The draw is the large profile/school of fish, I would say even if you're limited to 1 hook it's worth throwing.
  17. For bass the largest I use is 20lb yo zuri hybrid .438mm
  18. First proper river striper of the season and I'm pretty sure my BFS PB. Ate a 2.5" mayor on a 1/16oz jighead just after the flip to outgoing tide.
  19. Fish tend to hook themselves on treble hooked top waters, I never set the hook just load up the rod and they either have it or they don't.
  20. Oh man that's not even close to all of them. I love walking the doggy.
  21. Some of the local bait fishing striper guys would love that, just not for the price hehe. They use little electric boats with kite strings for steering to carry bait out at the forebay.
  22. my Icon BFS rods are my only micro guide setups, I run straight mono/fluoro on both. I suspect an FG knot with ultra light line would pass through the guides but I see no reason to try.
  23. mix of stuff from copper state & tackle warehouse sales. not shown some terminal tackle and aftco shirts
  24. I download images from my google photos on desktop, images are only about 100kb to start and sometimes I have to add them to the post in batches. They still get super compressed on upload, just is what it is I guess.
