I haven't used it for flukes yet but this is my favorite mini max bladed jig rod.

5" wacky senko and fluke on a ~3/0 standard wire hook I throw on a Zodias 7M spinning 6" senko T rigged usually on the Zillion 75MHH bottom contact flukes on a 4/0 superline Expride 610MH

Baby pop x, dog x coayu(sp?) tiny jerks/cranks pretty much any moving treble bfs. I'll test my usual 1/16 #2 crappie head but just whipping it compared to the Dobyns it might be a little soft for single hooks. But that's where the 701 and 610ml play.

It's definitely softer and a little more moderate in the tip compared to the Dobyns 701, I can see why the tb guys love it for the karashi in that respect.

Something nicer to look at than clips of emails. TW delivered the Icon 7L yesterday, Digitaka delivered the 2025 SLX BFS today. Much shinier and completely monochromatic compared to the previous version.

My tackle warehouse sale pile. Really liking the looks of the GLF underspin for BFS but even at the sale price I think they should come in a 2 pack.

I have a digitaka order sitting in customs at the airport right now. Shipped on the 29th and scheduled (tentatively) for delivery tomorrow. I'm curious to see how this goes.

I wouldn't recommend 20lb fluoro as a starting point or general purpose line. What exactly are you trying to cast? What rods/reels/lures etc?

I've fished half oz footballs on the 72H and it handles them fine, plenty sensitive, I just prefer a little more length. No experience with the 74H but I suspect it's an excellent rod.

Doing some cleaning and organizing in the garage today. First time the rods have all been in one place for a while.

Every manufacturer in their used rods section has a different policy, when they still sold st Croix those transfered as well. Their 9/10 Loomis rods have never technically been sold, they're demo or floor models so the serial has never been registered. Loomis accepts them as "new" rods and you can register them on the site for warranty like any other purchase.

I wish I was that clean and organized, my garage is chaos

I grabbed a couple from the tw bargain bin sale, went with bluegill and Tennessee shad. Haven't tried them yet so no reports.

I've bought a 9/10 used Loomis rod from them previously and besides not having tags it looked untouched. I know all the brands are different but Loomis at least also honors their 9/10 rods as brand new for warranty.

I've fed my fair share of jackhammers, lv500s, a few fully rigged a rigs and more to the deep hehe. No megabass baits yet thankfully.

I've had some halfway decent ones hit it fishing from the bank, had something bigger hit it at the lake last Friday but popped off after pulling drag for about a second. So far the only set of hooks I've busted was because 2 bass hit it at the same time, each one got a hook and started pulling in opposite directions. The hooks are definitely not great, I have a feeling but haven't confirmed yet they're bronze gammy round bends, but with light line/rod/drag they're mostly ok.

It sinks but super slowly, and as soon as you start working it with any speed it wants to come right back up.

they shipped me an incorrect model during the prime day madness and the return/replacement was super simple

I like their jig heads, their crappie head is my favorite for BFS. I wish DSG offered all the hook sizes, unfortunately they only have 1/16 #4 and 1/8 #2. Yamamoto is also B3G3 so half price senkos/zakos etc.
