First glide bait - did I pick the wrong colour?
I have same lure. Works well here in Tennessee on Lake Chickamauga.

What do you consider your most productive old time lure?
Almost 70 years of age. Plastic worms and lizards were inexpensive. Caught loads on these. I still use both. No one talks about fishing with a lizard. I always have one tied on.

just received response from Tackle Warehouse and I quote: "related to inflation and tariffs". I should have pulled the trigger earlier this week. Dang it.

Shimano Rods
I visited Tackle Warehouse website to purchase Shimano Zodias spinning rod. $50.00 increase. So, I checked the Exprides, same! This happened this week. I purchased a Shimano Expride B 7'2" m/h fast on August 15, 2025. Cost was $279.99. Now, $329.99. Wowser. New and improved model? I don't know. Checked other website, same.

Shimano NASCI FC spinning reel
thanks for the response, I appreciate it. I just cannot justify spending almost $300 for another Vanford at this point.

Does anyone own subject reel? If so, your opinion on reels performance would be appreciated. Thanks.

Minnow Bucket with Aerator
I have had an Engel bait box/cooler for many years. It has served me well.

Indeed, I agree.

Budget spinning rod
There is a.....forgot how to use English's Sporting Goods here in Chattanooga. When this new store was opened a few years ago they (she) decided not to sell hunting and fishing gear. Lake Chickamauga and Nickajack really close and Guntersville not too far away. I digress. Shimano has several options in your price range. For a little more, $100.00, you can get a Shimano SLX A.

My tackle hoard
I have way too much. Can be overwhelming at times. But, at least it is nice and cool here on the TN-GA-AL line.

Sawzall
I need to make the best cut that I can. Chain saw not an option. The other end of boards (for lack of better term) is under the framed/screened in portion of deck. Previously, I used a circular saw on two boards and did a decent job. I just thought a Sawzall or some other saw would be easier. NOT a carpenter here. Thanks for your input.

Sawzall
Not sure I can narrow it down to one response. All responses were helpful, and I gleaned something from each. This speaks volumes of the forum and more importantly, the members that are willing to help a brother out. Many thanks.

Anybody own one. Needing to replace deck boards. Don't need top of the line, but don't want junk. Brand, battery powered or electric? Thanks for any advice.

Lure retrievers
the wife bought me a guided trip on Lake Chickamauga. I deer hunt, so I went in February. We primarily used the A Rig and small swimbaits. Caught a boat load. In any event, I got the A Rig hung up in brush at least ten times. And the guide did too. The guide used the "Tip's Golden Retriever Lure Retriever" and with little or no effort got each rig back. Got me one. Only used it once. It worked.
