  1. truly sorry for your loss. I pray for your strength and comfort.
  2. thanks for the tip!
  3. they are the heavy-duty cardboard shipping tubes that Tackle Warehouse and others ship fishing rods in. I will tell them about your pvc pipe idea. 🤣 thanks for your response. I did cut one to size to store my arrows in. Works great.
  4. I do not have a clue. Unless of course you're referring to your hair.
  5. I, like many of you have numerous shipping tubes that fishing rods were shipped in. Based on my research these things are fairly pricey. I'm thinking about posting an add on Facebook Marketplace to sell some. Not sure what to ask. Probably not in huge demand. I would help a brother out in the event he needed one for shipping/returning a rod. Not looking for a windfall, just need to get rid of a few. How much would you guys ask? Thanks.
  6. All, good advice. I do not own any Lew's spinning reels. I do however, have the older Stradic Ci4 and the Vanford. Stradic FM it is. Thanks. Quite frankly, that was the only reason I asked. I seen that too. Thank you.
  7. I have been rearranging my sock drawer. 🤣
  8. some have some decent deals on the discontinued Shimano Zodias. Local tackle shop had them on sale for $160.00 which is a steal. Most likely no help to you. The Expride B is a fine rod. I'll be watching for that
  9. Any experience with subject spinning reels? Your thoughts please.
  10. I have same lure. Works well here in Tennessee on Lake Chickamauga.
  11. Almost 70 years of age. Plastic worms and lizards were inexpensive. Caught loads on these. I still use both. No one talks about fishing with a lizard. I always have one tied on.
  12. TW sent me a link for Shimano so I could complain to them...instead.
  13. and...you should always listen to your mommy
  14. just received response from Tackle Warehouse and I quote: "related to inflation and tariffs". I should have pulled the trigger earlier this week. Dang it.
  15. I visited Tackle Warehouse website to purchase Shimano Zodias spinning rod. $50.00 increase. So, I checked the Exprides, same! This happened this week. I purchased a Shimano Expride B 7'2" m/h fast on August 15, 2025. Cost was $279.99. Now, $329.99. Wowser. New and improved model? I don't know. Checked other website, same.
  16. good info. thanks for sharing.
  17. really good info guys, many thanks. I need light. I'm old and my wrist have taken a beating.
  18. thanks for the response, I appreciate it. I just cannot justify spending almost $300 for another Vanford at this point.
  19. Does anyone own subject reel? If so, your opinion on reels performance would be appreciated. Thanks.
  20. I have had an Engel bait box/cooler for many years. It has served me well.
  21. There is a.....forgot how to use English's Sporting Goods here in Chattanooga. When this new store was opened a few years ago they (she) decided not to sell hunting and fishing gear. Lake Chickamauga and Nickajack really close and Guntersville not too far away. I digress. Shimano has several options in your price range. For a little more, $100.00, you can get a Shimano SLX A.
  22. thanks for the response thanks for the response thanks for sharing. we have big bass here on Lake Chickamauga as well. marketing hype?
  23. anyone own subject rod? thinking about buying one. additionally, Shimano has a Zodias 7'2" medium light plus /fast action. can someone splain the "plus" to a hayseed country boy? I'll be thanking you.
