  1. I almost always have one on a jig. I also use them on a "Pivot Head", "Swivel Head" ball jig.
  2. never had the desire to create a potential "weak link"
  3. Wunderground, WeatherWise, and the Weather Channel. All Free.
  4. I know of a tournament fisherman (for what it's worth) and Big Game is pretty much all he uses. I mean no disrespect, but I do not understand people using the braid to flouro leader. Sure, more sensitivity? Maybe. But why create a weak link? Not to mention the hassle.
  5. Too many to mention. I don't want to just watch someone catch fish or try to promote a particular lure(s) or rod & reel. Tell me all about your presentation and why. To include the specifics of your lure(s). And some talk entirely too much. Maybe they don't get to talk at home. I have gifted the moniker of "Breezy Wind" to several.
  6. great advice, thank you.
  7. well, picture is too large. I cannot figure out how to reduce/resize.
  8. upon further examination, I did locate the spring. it was in the inside of the latch. one end is kinda of stretched. and the spring is loose. I will take a picture tomorrow and post. thanks.
  9. I too use the diablo spec-r for bladed jigs. spinner baits, top water, just to name a few. in fact, I like this one rod so much, I have two. thinking about getting another if I can find one. Discontinued.
  10. upon examination, my trailer winch does not have a spring
  11. Oh yes, I sure do. I appreciate the heads up.
  12. Tackle Warehouse has them in stock
  13. I fish the super fluke weightless and I like the double fluke rig or donkey rig. just a pain securing to rod when not using. Also, you may want to try the Xzone Whiplash shad.
  14. Never thought of that. Will do. Many thanks.
  15. what is your favorite buzzbait? Trailer (which one) or skirt?
  16. I have heard that the beginning of an end to a marriage starts at a boat ramp.
  17. Not sure about it slipping teeth, I will mark it this week when I go fishing and check at ramp and at home. No to locking mechanism. Thank you. did that. thank you. I pulled the strap out and wound it back on tight. thank you.
  18. Last two trips my boat trailer winch strap has loosened while traveling home. Before leaving the ramp parking lot, I ensure strap is pulled all the way up, boat bow is resting on roller. No wiggle room, tighter than "dick's hat band". Additionally, boat buckles tightly secured at transom. The roads here in Hamilton County Tennessee or horrible and I drive with extreme caution. My winch strap was replaced probably three (3) years ago. This has never happened before. Think I need a new winch? Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
  19. Same here. I do not back reel. I only use the AR switch when I need to pull line off the spool to re tie or change lures. I have the Stradic and Vanford and I really miss that quick, convenient feature. Opening the bail or changing the drag to pull line off is a real pain. (no pun intended)
  20. many years ago, when Browning was making fishing rods or whomever was making them for them, I purchased a baitcaster and spinning rod. Absolutely loved these rods. Still have the spinning rod (crappie). Heading out to the Chick in am. I have 14 (fourteen) rods rigged in my rod locker. Megabass Orochi's; Levante's; Cashion; Shimano Expride B; Duckett Micro Magic. Oh my, how things have changed.
