  1. they flat out catch fish. Hog Farmer/Tactical Bassin make a "mini" and a "micro" rig. They are not cheap.
  2. Weather man said 5-10 mph winds. It blew 15-20 mph plus all day. Nevertheless, I managed to boat 8 bass. Smallest was 2.5 lbs and the largest was a 5 pounder. The Zoom 8-inch lizard Texas rigged was the ticket. Along with Neko rig (caught the 5 pounder) and a wacky rig senko.
  3. Just last week I lost an A-rig and a Damiki Vault.
  4. "Trolling Motor Batteries". I guess it too closely related to a previous post. No big deal. thank you.
  5. I wanted to reply to one of my posts and I got the above-mentioned response. I have seen pages and pages and pages of replies to subjects.
  6. yes, you are correct. And I'm a member. Thank Cap'n
  7. I was looking at AGM not lithium. My cranking battery is an X2 . (not lithium) Mercury does not recommend lithium on my model 225 opti max for cranking. A local shop (trustworthy) sells Decca Marine & RV. Presently checking them out. Thanks for your response.
  8. recommendations for 12 volt batteries for Minn Kota Ultrex. I was looking at Odyssey and X2. Pricey.
  9. ran the trolling for about a minute. checked voltage...dropped like a rock. Guess I will start a new thread for batteries. thanks to all.
  10. thanks for all of the responses. The batteries have been in a resting state for just over three hours. Voltage is pretty much the same. I thought 12.6 - 12.8 volts were good.
  11. you the dawg snoop. thanks much.
  12. While fishing yesterday it seemed like my trolling motor was a little sluggish. It worked all day with a lot on spot lock. First thought was batteries. After charging overnight I checked the battery voltage on the nine (9) year old Optima Blue Tops. One reading was 12.86 and the other was 13.33 volts. With that said, should I have unplugged boat charger? More accurate reading? I did this and plan on checking in an hour or so. Any help or suggestions much appreciated. Thanks.
  13. same as the old $199.99 according to the guys at "The Hook Up Tackle". Check out their youtube video. cork instead of foam
  14. your life is worth it brother. buy it, wear it.
  15. I was reluctant to purchase an inflatable. I struggled with depending/relying on something to inflate to potentially save my life. I bought a Mustang inflatable to wear while fishing. When running down the lake I wear the Mustang full size non-inflatable.
  16. truly sorry for your loss. I pray for your strength and comfort.
  17. thanks for the tip!
  18. they are the heavy-duty cardboard shipping tubes that Tackle Warehouse and others ship fishing rods in. I will tell them about your pvc pipe idea. 🤣 thanks for your response. I did cut one to size to store my arrows in. Works great.
  19. I do not have a clue. Unless of course you're referring to your hair.
  20. I, like many of you have numerous shipping tubes that fishing rods were shipped in. Based on my research these things are fairly pricey. I'm thinking about posting an add on Facebook Marketplace to sell some. Not sure what to ask. Probably not in huge demand. I would help a brother out in the event he needed one for shipping/returning a rod. Not looking for a windfall, just need to get rid of a few. How much would you guys ask? Thanks.
  21. All, good advice. I do not own any Lew's spinning reels. I do however, have the older Stradic Ci4 and the Vanford. Stradic FM it is. Thanks. Quite frankly, that was the only reason I asked. I seen that too. Thank you.
  22. I have been rearranging my sock drawer. 🤣
  23. some have some decent deals on the discontinued Shimano Zodias. Local tackle shop had them on sale for $160.00 which is a steal. Most likely no help to you. The Expride B is a fine rod. I'll be watching for that
  24. Any experience with subject spinning reels? Your thoughts please.
