  1. That doesn't answer the question. If you believe that Shimano has a better deal, what is the reel and price that is better.
  2. Is the Zillion for $190-210 and the Alphas for $150 from Japan the best deals for a fishing reel that we've ever seen? I just can't think of a superior product that was sold for such a good price. These two reels have no real negatives to them, and they're being sold for about the same price as an slx or a curado, both of which are far inferior.
  3. Alphas for that price is a better deal than a Zillion for $210, so that's a nobrainer.
  4. Never even casted a lure with a sin cast
  5. Straight braid as without any leader? No reason to do that. But i did stop using straight fluoro, and was never using mono to begin with.
  6. soldering iron would burn the paint, and it wouldn't look good. And have you tried mend it on slide swimmers or are you assuming it would work because it works on silicon baits?
  7. Tried the LePage Flexible Plastic Adhesive glue, and it worked. Seems to hold well, too.
  8. Even tho i prefer the Orochi, Expride is worth buying over it because the blank on the Orochi XX snaps too easily.
  9. The tats i had and have heard this happening quick did indeed have a plastic/zion side plate.
  10. One thing you need to know is that the Tats might be smooth out of the box, they become buzzy and lose their smoothness pretty quickly, and while frogging this will happen the fastest.
  11. I use the 6.8 ratio on my pixy. No matter if its slow, medium or fast, compared to any other topwater lures i have ever tried, this has an abysmal action. As i've mentioned many times, its like you have a bait that's entangled in your line, and that's the actual action of the bait for $15.
  12. These come with a snap pre installed, so that's what i used.
  13. I tried it years ago, it messed up the paint on the surface, and didn't bond both sides of the skin.
  14. Next time i am on the water, i'll try to use it without the leader, or with a mono leader, but i don't think it'll make a difference because i've tried short casts (this lure doesn't fly very far to begin with) as well, and no matter what i did, it ran poorly directly from the package. It feels to me that the lure is simply too light to stay on the water, and have that large blade spin underwater like its shown in the videos.
  15. Probably a long shot since nobody owns the IMZ (from what i hear 😁), but does anyone know if the IMZ's gears can be installed on the Z2020?
  16. That's fine, 50lb is indeed ridiculous. I just hope that 8-10lb won't be an issue because every time i roll it on my jacket, it frays the line, and i have to cut it.
  17. Using a Pixy with 8lb braid to a fluoro leader. Medium casting rod as well.
  18. There must be a way. I own some Flexible Plastic Adhesive from LePage, and was thinking on trying one of those, but if there's a better product, would prefer getting that.
  19. Cought a 41 incher yesterday, and it sliced my lure pretty good. Is there a product that i should use to repair the rubber skin of a slide swimmer? I assume super glue isn't a good idea since it'll harden, and it needs to be flexible.
  20. Looking at this video, this is absolutely not the action mine is getting. Because they're super light, under standard retreive, they don't stay on the water for the blade to spin. Instead, they roll on themselves and are "sliding" on top of the water just like an entangled bait.
  21. Good idea. What size is yours? If its the same 3.5", i want you to experience it🙃
  22. You can, but you have to give em a call and its noticeably more expensive than it is when ordering from PLAT. PLAT is the way to go, especially with the current JPY conversion rate.
  23. Will try to roll the line on my fish lip gripper next time i pull a snag and hope it doesn't fray the line.
