Between starting physical theropy back up hopefully this week coming and peeping for Oct 1st bow season opener and doing load work up for my new experimental bullet I designed for my rifle my hands are full. Will be filling the study session that looks like cart is about to get going, if it works in one area it will work in anouther.

I'm on the north end San Miguel you ever come up this way and see a fat guy white t-shirt camo ball cap in a bull pro crappie slinging a trap or ribbet frog that's me feel free to come say hello.
  6. Good luck baw. Ramps be getting shallow on San Miguel.

  8. Thanks for the get well gents. Mguidroz I might take you up on that offer
  9. Yea I know and I will have to miss it. Doctor put me on bed rest till they get the blood clot out my leg, that somehow got missed when they first checked early last month when I blow my knee out. Looks like fishing is done for me for a few weeks, and work is done for the rest of the year.
  10. Dang it's quiet round these parts of late
  11. Lil update for the members. Same baits as my last update. Same water depth as my last update. From just before sunrise till 1100 today landed 62, had probably 20+ throw the hooks. Keep 5 14-15 inch fish for a fry this weekend. Most bass coming in at 10-13 3/4 inches. Did catch 3 that were skinny and sick looking but were 17-18 inches long. Now it's time for a nap and then work on the outboard, won't plane the boat out for some reason. Hope this helps somebody get on some fish.
  12. 175 blue pro crappie, fat guy, camo hat, with a bum left knee, on the water right now, come say hello, if you can find me.
  13. Nope late evening on San Miguel, had a afternoon rainshower not far from me and it had the wind blowing good.
  14. That is also true. Wasn't too bad where I was, but I had a 20 mile an hour wind blowing on me too. Talk about hard to run a trolling motor plus fish in that with only one good leg. But it was fun.
  15. Sure did, but I'm paying for it today lol.
  16. Lil update for yall. Me and the bum knee went out yesterday evening and hit a few sand bars and flats near the house. Baits used Bandit square bill in black and pearl with sparkle on the back. 1/4 once black and crome super spot 4 inch kvd ghost shad swimbaitwith owner flashy swimmer hook. Water depth 2-5 feet Landed 44 and keep 6 14 to 15 inch fish for eating most bass being 10 to 14 inch some smaller some bigger. The summer school bite on sand bars seems to be doing ok, will be back out this evening.
  17. That is also true. But less of a factor when all my friends that I would be in public with carry the same way. Fact is the concealed carry compared to how I carry can be argued till we are all blue in the face. And my stance will not change, I prefer my sidearm to be visible at all times. If some one chooses to carry theirs covered that's their own buisness and I won't try and change their mind. I just find it more useful and productve to the use I'm carrying it for to be in the open carry postion.
  18. Yea you right bout that lol. Sorry to hear bout the elbow. And thanks for the prayers bro.
  19. I don't know, workers comp, what can I say. I have a good day and can move around and do stuff good then the next day I can't do anything. I'm feeling good today so I might get some fuel in the boat and go try for a bit.
  20. Wish I was. I'm still at home waiting to have surgery on the knee. Having a hard time getting motivated to go fishing.
  21. Louisiana
  22. When I got my carry permit and my cc permit, I went throw a couple of hundred dollars worth of holsters over the course of three years trying to find the right one. And in the end of all that I went right back to what I always have used a hip style holster, that I don't even bother to cover up any more. If I'm not using that one I have a custom thigh holster that allows me to quick loosen and slid the pistol from my right side of my right thigh to the top of my thigh when seated and can cinch it back tight in seconds. For me those two holsters fix all the issues. People tell me all the time why do you carry your pistol in plan sight. My response, if you can see it from far off your more likey to not try something stupid because you know I have what it takes to kill you. This is just my thoughts but carrying concealed is a waist of time, I want everyone to see I'm armed and not ashamed or concerned with what they think about it.
  23. That's nice right there. But not nice enough to make me want to get out in the big pond at night in the wind in open water.
  24. Im waiting to see if this wind will lay down before I make up my mind to go out tonight.
  25. I fish when I can the old knee ain't letting me get my normal amount of water time in lately. But will be trying to find some day time fish tommorw got my best bro coming up Friday evening to fish for a few days. Should be in the pro crappie, yall see a fat guy with a bum left leg and camo hat in a blue pro crappie come say hello.
