Well she didn't make weight, she was 9.12 on the scale, so loader her back up took a pic at home and put her back on her bed behind the my old stump where I caught her. Can't seem to get the pic small enough to upload it.

Was able to get out this afternoon, found bass on their post spawn pattern spots. Buck brush with shad blown in it hitting the frog and on a few humps in 10 or lil less water with cranks. Biggest being a spawned out female that was just over 3 pounds. Most being just over or just under 14 inches. Landed 23, keep 7, missed are lost like more then I want to admit too, brings up a good point to remember slow down check my hooks lol. Hope this helps somebody.

I have been chasing them for 30 years as well. But illegal is still illegal, no matter who are what someone did for ducks unlimited sir. Not sure where you was going with your post because mine wasn't directed at you sir. Maybe I missing something in your post, miscommnication on my part possible.

Federal law states it's illegal to take waterfowl from a boat of any type that is under the power of any type of motor that includes trolling motors. All means of non man made power to push or pull the boat must be turned off and stowed in the locked down travel position before even taking a shot, that includes a sail boat as well. Proceed at your own risk sir.

It will be mid week before the fish start too act right again in most of San Miguel.

We stayed were the water was the dirtiest aka muddy with lots of grass and brush and the bass were there, but no steady bite, go throw catch a few then they would turn off, come back to it a hour later hit a few more then again they would turn off. Luckly we had a few spots we could hit like that. Other then a small dink school we found on a hump in shallow water with square bills and traps (they were feeding on shad), everything was on plastics. Ghost shad and watermelon red color, both colors producing equally, bigger fish on the ghost shad.

That's a beautiful bass right there. Me and my best bud ran them Thursday and Friday on San Miguel and the 1215 area, best size came in the 1215 area. Wind was so bad we used the flat and stayed shallow throwing 4 inch swimbaits, didn't do as bad as most we ended the trip with right at 30 caught between the two of us with most fish Friday being in the 2 pound range. Did have one nice fish break me on hook set. Deepest fish was around 7 foot on a messed up cast with a frog, friend backslashes his reel and the frog sank when he got it free and started reeling a bass picked the frog up from the bottom. It was fun and giving the conditions I'm more then happy with how we did. Soon as the weather stabilizes it will get better.

I'm sure it has, I got bout 5 creek feed coves on my mind to start with, then work out from there, if the fish are in them they won't b far away.
