I'm offshore but spoke with dad and the swim bait frog bite is doing well for him around cypress trees and buck brush, some size starting to show up. Dang this rig is killing my spawn mojo I need to be at home.

OP I'm not sure of the laws and rulings in your area but I can tell you in Louisiana I would be burning this guy's butt in court. First law he is breaking is call right of way, no landowner can stop other land owners from reaching their land as long as it is a clear defined road, either pavement, rock or dirt roadway. Second law he is in potential of breaking is wanted waist and poaching, he told you he would not allow you to retrevie down game that entered his land that is breaking game laws and all you have to do is inform the wardens and ask them too come with you to get your game they will take it from there. Also he stated he or someone he appoints will be walking his property line to look out for and run of trespassers he is breaking the law there as well because you own the land and as said land owner have legal right of way and too do as he said he would would fall under federal laws of harassment and land theif. He is also on the playing with fire from federal wardens by having someone walk the property line during deer season because that is called wildlife harrassment. Again I don't know the laws and rulings there but that is what I would be burning him down in court for here. I know money is tight for you but you need to see this through to the end and fight it tooth and nail never and I mean never let someone bulley you out of enjoying what's yours and enjoying your GOD given rights as a citizen of the United States of America.

Spinner bait bite still doing good on San Miguel today no size to brag about but finished the day with my 8 keepers all fish keep between 16 and 18 inches. I know I posted this last year but it bares repeating folks new and old to the big pond don't be running wide open on plane outside the marked boat lanes, I been home two weeks and already towed to boats full of idiots back to the dock because they destroyed their lower unit trying to prove they were the best of the best and flying wide open across stump feilds. Ok rant over hope this helps someone.

Just came off the water, bite picking up on the old trusty spinner bait and swim bait no size to brag about but some nice 2 and 3s showing up. Biggest of the day throw me but it came on a baby ribbett, had my head in the clouds and didn't set the hook. I'm sure she was 6 to 7 pounds had a big belly. This is true. I catch bigger fish during spawn but catch more per trip during the summer. Also what you said about picking one spot and learning has helped me alot Catt. Thats why i stay on san Miguel.

Me and ametuerhour fished San Miguel Saturday afternoon, high winds keep us off the deeper water, we got skunked but had a good time anyhow. Something we noticed was the deeper water was showing mid to low 50's water temp and the shallow coves were showing mid to low 40's water temp. Don't remember the water depth that was showing the higher temps. Dang this water needs too come back up bad. Y'all don't catch them all I'm headed for Houston today and out too work on the 30th, can't wait too get back right in time for the big show, them fat girls should be doing their thing big time when I get back.

Wish i had a answer sir. Im still doing it old school, hook and line map and baits in the water, with notes wrote down for each spot and catch. My fishfinder is old and only use it to find humps and ditches.

Im in a blue pro crappie 175 but i probably wont be around have a class in houston on the 17-18th then headed offshore atleast thats the plan right now as always its upin the air till i get there. Look for the main lake point that the main boat lane passes over and is less then 70 yards from the south shore of San Miguel, just passed San Miguel park, has two deep water coves one on each side of the point. Mine says rain and freezing temps monday changing over too snow and freezing temps tuesday, low for both days 19 degress.

So here you go fella's beautiful day yesterday so I went played for a few hours midday. 13 bites landed 10, biggest was 15inch smallest was 11 inch. Water depth was 8-14 feet. Baits trap 1/2 chrome and black back Flashy swimmer with a kvd watermelon red coffee scent swimbait 4 inch Bass were holding on lay downs and standing stumps right on the edge of a drop off from 8-14. Won't be much longer fella's it will be time.

Black and red flake baby ribbit frog, followed close by the 1/4 trap chrome and black back with orange belly. But the baby ribbit is my fab of all of them.

Lol trap never comes off year round bait right there lol
