  1. Wind was blowing so bad, I didn't even try and go look for a diffrent bite. My boat just ain't setup to handle fishing deeper water and high winds. Loses control to easy and I end up fighting the trolling motor more then fishing. So I just stayed on what I was throwing and enjoyed what I did catch.
  2. Same place I always am. San Miguel. Don't feel bad I just came off the water bout 30 mints ago, had 4 bites all day. If I added all 4 bass together they would have had a hard time making 2 pounds. Not sure what happened from yesterday to today but it was dead out there today. But they will be back soon I'm sure.
  3. Same side as AH. I'm right behind Gracies landing.
  4. Don't worrie AH. I leavt you a few in that cove we spoke about today lol. Didn't do too bad, had 2 break off, missed 5 hooksets, landed and put back 12 dinks. And landed these nice lil things lol I wear size 13 boots. Water depth 6 inch's to 1 1/2 feet Bait kvd caffeine shad, ghost shad color 4 inch on owner flashy spinner hook. Bass were all in the grass.
  5. Yep along a back that gets hit by sunlight nearly from sun up to sun down. Boat was over the creek channel leading into the cove and it runs about 30 feet out from the bank in that cove. You can see the fish were stacked up in the creek channel. But I couldn't make them bite anything. Catfish or slabs maybe? So I started throwing up too the grass and started catching them up in the grass in less then a foot of water.
  6. Not going to say I put the whupin on them in fact I only found one legal keeper. But I did find 15 in less then a hour this evening. Every bass came from less then a foot of water up in the grass. Pic is the only legal keeper of the 15
  7. With the snow flurries we had at the house just before dark today. I'm good boat can stay parked till this weekend. Got too love this March weather, seems like it gets weirder every year.
  8. It's just me and my opinion but I would just sleep in Monday to be honest. Cold air temps, cold water temps, raising water if we get the rain they say we should plus post front conditions and typical March winds. I would just stay in bed.
  9. No tounge bumb, no belly strips. Largemouth. Still a perrty bass, should taste good too.
  10. Oh no I can fish it just fine with out a temp gauge. But with the junky weather and the attic blast coming my old bones just ain't feeling it right now. Time for a break till later in the week when the weather gets better and hopefully stabilize just a bit. My rebuilt knee just can't take this weather.
  11. Ok my finder has too be malfunctioning. This morning showed what I posted above. Air temp the same this afternoon and the main water is still the same but now it's showing 54.6 to 55.3 at the back of the coves. Think I'm going to trailer the boat till next weekend.
  12. It seemed right too me, from what I'm use too seeing this time of year but never hurts too double check it. As always the back end of San Miguel is where I play the most.
  13. Who has the water temp readings from today? To too back check what my fishfinder is telling me. On the main water of San Miguel I'm getting 54.2 back of the coves I went too this morning I'm getting 61.4 to 62.3 degrees. Think my finder isn't reading correctly.
  14. The last 4 days have been weird for sure.
  15. Sad too say but the bite I was on has all but died and been buried. Fish for 5 hours this evening. Total of six bites landed 4, biggest was just short of 12 inches. All of them was swolle up with eggs and shad. 3 foot of water around buck brush, back of coves water temp showed 61.5 to 63 degress. Bites came on 6 inch black with chartreuse tail zoom lizard, Trig'd no weight. All bites on the fall.
  16. Sounds good. I'm heading for anouther cup of coffee, while the trolling battery charges.
  17. I wouldn't corner myself in too hopeing to fish only brush and shallow grass when you come up. This time of year the weather is too unpredictable to say if they will be up in the brush and shallow grass on the 9th. They could be are a big front might hit on the 7th and drive the water temp back down into the low 50's and they will move back out too deeper water. Best to make plan's on what too fish the night before or day that you arrive. The weather is going too be back and forth right now. Plus it is March you can expect very high winds.
  18. 170 too pool level are higher is enough to find fish in the brush on San Miguel.
  19. Lol it's all good bro. Hope y'all been good bro?
  20. Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. No need too talk about under bridge lol. No fish back there it's a gar hole, no bass, wouldn't waist my time throwing a fire tiger spinnerbait back there for bass, it's a complete waist of time lol.
  21. Catt. Shot me a pm when you head this way. Would love too hook up with you some time this season and go wet a line one day.
  22. Dang looks like a few guys figured out the color of my spinnerbait bite. Lol time for a change lol. Big congrats to Gleason, good too see a local guy win one.
  23. Hehehe. I can tell you where 5 of them are fishing right now and it ain't over 3 foot of water where they are casting too. Watching them with my 56 power spotting scope. They all throwing the same thing soft plastics.
