From what I hear most of the locals are hanging it up. To much of a pain to find a boat ramp usable with the current water depth. That's why mine is parked for the winter already. I heard north Toledo parks ramp is still usable at the moment. The Toledo Bend Lake association says SRA is planning to bring it down to 165 even. But we all now how plans of mice and men work out. Plus that big yellow oven in the sky likes to drink water as well. If I was going to give it a try. I would constrate my effort on river channel swings. It's bad for me. The trailer for my bass tracker pro crappie is built in such a way if the water is too low. It makes it to steep of an angle to launch and load the boat back up. Boat has too much v in the bottom. Anything lower then 169 and I would have to drive to the bridge or more south to put my boat in. I have caught fish in the spots you are asking about. I just haven't fish recently enough to know if anything is on them right now.

I'm wondering the same thing now. I have caught plenty with the sour's and figured it was from spawning. But me and dad have caught 7 bass in the last week that had those spots and when we went too clean them later in the day. The back have of the fish. The meat had turned black. Fish was still alive when we went to clean them. We tossed them and let the turtles have the ones that looked like that. Those bass had sores so bad it had eaten down into the meat and made a knot in the meat. Haven't ever seen it like this before.
