  1. Right next to the one that says bass finish spawning in March and don't spawn until February lmao. Too touch on the pic. First bass I ever caught over 8 pounds I caught in less then 2 foot of water in January on a ribbet frog and the air temp was 30 degress. Caught the buck and then the female and she was 8.74 pounds Your not going to get a lot of bites, but the ones you get will most likely be good to great. But it's the technique that's important, let's just say it's not anything like what you would think of how to work a ribbet frog.
  2. I am but I ain't talking lol
  3. Just came back off the water. Rain picked up for a few hours and the bite slowed. Managed to scratch out 9 more but all were no keepers. Then pulled up on my fav hump and started slamming the buck bass with a square bill crank in pearl and black back color. Had 17 bites and landed 12 of them, everyone of them were stuffed to the gills with shad but sadly they were all non keepers as well.
  4. Bass hit top water 365 days a year. It's my own specieal technique that is the trick.
  5. Not the only one and not the biggest one this morning. Let's see how many guys can figure out the pattern with just a pic lol.
  6. I would say it is around 7 steady with 12 gust. Minnkota doing the job well. 1 to 3 foot of water. Watermelon red plastics trig'd
  7. We did our best. Only managed 2 keepers this morning and a few dinks.
  8. I ain't worried bout no wind. I'm pumping that new ninny kota with spotlock lmao.
  9. Wish I could say the same for San Miguel. It was tuff today. Seemed like they got lock jaw are moved back out a bit. Nothing was up shallow today. I did find some out in the creek mouths in 6 to 10 foot but they were finicky bad today.
  10. 52 to 58 is what I'm hearing locally.
  11. Biggest one today. Scale said 3.54 lbs. Infront the house on the old sunken island. KVD caffeine shad in ghost shad color and owner flashy swimmer hook. 2 foot of water on the brush. She wasn't on the dance floor but she had just parked her car. Finished the day with 17 bites and 17 landed. Everything else was non legal sized buck bass. All in 1 to 3 foot of water situated on wood.
  12. Spot on Catt. If we don't get another coldfront, mid week next week there should be some ladies on the dance floor. On a sidenote. The reckless behavior and straight foul mouth rude attitudes of some of the guys fishing tourney's the last few days. Has been the very worse I have seen ever on this lake.
  13. Stayed close to the house today. Getting in some more work learning the ins and outs of my new minnkota. Fish buckbrush, laydowns and logjams in the 1 to 2 foot depth with the good old swimbait. Landed 24 had 9 throw the hook, missed more strikes then I will admit too. No females all small buck bass biggest landed was 13 inch on the money.
  14. Hit the Christmas tree area today. 10 to 14 foot tops of humps. Bandit cranks in pearl and black back color. Landed 7 had 4 more jump off, all fat females, smallest was 3.04 largest was 5.12. Didn't get a water temp due to no graph in the boat right now but it felt dang cold, like 50 degree cold.
  15. They calling for sunshine the rest of the week. I will be out Friday.
  16. Just got the new powerdrive v2 with spotlock installed Friday and should have the new helix 7 mega DI installed by next month. Lines have been changed, new hooks on everything, new spark plugs, engine tuned up, new bilge plugs everything checked out and ready to hit the water with a vengeance lmmao.
  17. Only problem is it's raining right now and the wind is blowing like a box full of Pelosi's
  18. Somebody post on Facebook that at noon it was 170. 4ish.
  19. Back when I only had my 15x48 weldbuilt flat and my sup'd up merc 40 big foot, I use to get some weird looks out at Indian mounds and the chicken coop. Even had one guy in a 20 something foot skeeter ask me if I was mental slow lmao. Then again us Cajuns are pro's at running lil boats in big water. A season of duck hunting grand lake will put many years worth of boat's men's skills under your belt. I would be more afraid of a idiot running over me then if my boat was to small for the wave action.
  20. And here I thought my 50 mercy burned alot of fuel lmao.
  21. Lake level is good for putting a boat in at blue lake/1215 ramp it just hasn't come up enough to reach the buck brush yet.
  22. Catt is spot on as always. Rising water blows. Stable water is good Falling water y'all better not be between me and my boat because I'm going throw you lmao.
  23. No. Still need 2 to 3 more feet to have enough for them to be in the brush. They are calling for more rain over the next 3 days, so it possible could be up by late this week. But then again SRA watched the weather too and now they are running both generators 24 hrs, so they will probably undo most of the good that the rain has done so far.
  24. Well looks like there was one lil nibbler leavt in the big pond today lol.
