White and chartreuse spinnerbait doing it up on them females today. Caught this one off the bank, then dropped the boat in and went found 11 more in bout a hour in the 2 to 4 foot range, suspending on any wood they could find. Creek and ditch channels heading into coves.

When I took that pic from the truck I was on my way to Toledo town to get some gas for the gennys. There was people parked on the side of the road and fish under the bridge over lanana bayou on hwy 191. And 2 party barges with outdoor fireplaces anchored off not far from it fishing for them white perch lol.

Its Zwolle so lol. Yea it was crazy to see that kind of ice formation in Louisiana.

My front yard looking across San Miguel just pass Gracie's landing headed down lake towards San Miguel park. Hwy 191 at Rebecca's gas station. Looking towards zwolle. The backend of San Miguel bayou. Water depth is 2 to 3 foot deep.

Yea it's still here lol finally melted off late yesterday afternoon. I took some pics of San Miguel froze over but cant get them sized down enough to upload. When I mean froze over I mean from north bank to south bank froze over. I live next to Gracie's landing and it was froze over from the back of the bayou where it dead ends next to zwolle all the way too just past my house.

I figured it would hurt it. I wonder how long it needs to be subjected to freezing and below freezing point temps to kill it?

Yea it's going to shut them down for a good week or 2. Weather app is showing bitter cold temps for almost the rest of the week.

So I changed baits to a smoke shad colored 4 inch and flash spinner hook and picked up the female those 2 males were guarding. She straight smashed that swimbait.

And sometimes you dont need a boat lol. Went took a look at that bed I caught the female off of. Seen there was a small male on it now. So went got my chatterbait and bam got him. Then went up to the house and got my phone came back and got these 2 in back to back cast in 1 1/2 foot of water on a small man made ridge next to my neighbors dock. If it wouldnt be for the incoming bad and cold weather, they would be starting a run I'm sure. 1/4 onze white and silver sparkle zman with a twin tail chartreuse with silver flake trailer l, slow rolling it and they are smashing it.

That bed is normally in 3 to 4 foot of water. The lake is low. No it was a female, with eggs. No shad up in this lil ditch at the moment. She wasn't there this morning, I checked that spot.

This lil warm bit of warm air yesterday and today. Got a few thinking about it. This lil fatty was up in bout 1 foot of water in a old bed next too a stump. Super fat with eggs but she was maybe 10 inches long. Pitched the chatterbait to her and she smoked it lol.

Water is low, watch where you are driving. Fish are bitting, friend of mine found some in creek channels leading into a cove in 14 foot of water. Weather is forecasted to turn bad cold and lots of rain sometime this week is what I was told last night. Good luck.

It's a sabine parish thing. If they say heavy rain or snow. We dont get nothing. If they say 10% chance of rain. You better tie the boat to the porch cause brother it's going to flood.

Fish that size dont go unreported or official weighted in on toledo bend lake. You get free replicas of bass over 10lbs on the la side and 12lbs on the tx side when you have them official weighted. Since I cnat find any report of it, its 100% bs on that catch.

No I retired my Belgium mag duck a few years back. I shot a bertta 390 now. I would bass fish during the winter but I like to eat ducks and deer during the summer. Got to make them sacrifices lol.

Be a few days before I'm back on the big pond. Down in my home town blasting ducks(2 man limit this morning) and hogs for a few days. Then time to hit the water and start ripping lips ?
