  1. Seen a article recently that sra picked a few spots and planted some aquatic grass to try and promote grass growth in the lake again.
  2. Shhhhhhhhhhh.... Dont tell everybody then they will know my secret spots lol.
  3. I catch bass here year round without any type of grass. Grass is over rated.
  4. First on the board for 2022. Swimbait in ghost shad color off a bed.
  5. How tall doing? Dad said it rained big time at the house today. I expect san miguel to be low and now muddy for the next few days.
  6. I got 3 tags leavt but I do have the boat squared away and already sorted out my take bags.
  7. You youngsters quiet down I cant hear what the fish are telling me lol
  8. Well not a professional but my opinion is I would want the weather to stay stable. No heavy rains and no strong cool/cold fronts. Water level to say constant or with a very slow and steady out flow current will keep them the most active. On san Miguel look for cloudy days to extend the early morning bite till around 9 or 10 o'clock and then the school action to pick back up around the 3:40 time period and last till dark as long as the schools are big enough and they have plenty of bait too feed on.
  9. Yep depending on how the weather lays out. The second weekend of October is normally the start of a week longs top water beat down in the 5 to 9 foot range in the creek mouths. They school up hard and tight and you can wear the paint off of baits on a school. To bad I will be busy deer hunting lol.
  10. I'm in Gramercy, laplace, sorrell area for the next few weeks. Changed jobs, doing water/microbial remediation now. It so badcdown here, we are basically gutting every house and when the electricity comes back on we will go back through them and spray/scrub to kill the microbes and so the house can be remodeled inside and made livable again.
  11. So I walked out to the waters edge this evening. Right before the evening rain storm hit. Black body green pumpkin legged frog. Made to imitate a ribbet frog but it floats when you stop it. First 3 cast and 3 hook ups with 10 inch fish. Nice and healthy looking fish too fat stomach's been eating good. Best I can do for a report fellas.
  12. Well I hope yall wasn't waiting for me to give a report. Boats are parked for the year, bow is tuned and rifle is sighted in. Been working out to drop a few pounds.
  13. Hey you youngsters quiet it down a bit in here. I cant here dr. Poll over all yall talking at the top of your lungs lmao.
  14. Glad yall found some even with all the problems. I bet the guy that wouldnt help yall was a short fat white guy in a white skeeter with twin white power poles.
  15. Dont put any trust in any weather report for sabine parish. It will be 100% wrong 365 days a year. I live here.
  16. Bring your rain gear.
  17. Still hard for me not to keep a pack of ribbon tail worms in tequila sunrise, ready to go.
  18. Yall dont be afraid to get in on the conversation now. What's everybody's go to soft plastic color for the big pond?
  19. I'm a huge baby brush hog fan and I love the garlic chartreuse as well but they have been really liking the blue lately.
  20. It really doesnt seem to matter for me what size and shape the lure is but watermelon red seems to work day in and day out. Now some colors do work better some days, but watermelon red just seems to work every day, for me anyways.
  21. Intrasante lol I would put my money on watermelon red flake.
  22. Catt. Is there a soft plastic color that would work to catch bass 24/7/365 on the big pond? And what color would you think it would be?
