  1. Sometimes you just got to put your head down and grind out that monster lizard and the Crig lol Home made Crig setup. Useing a home made green pumpikin monster lizard with the tail tip dipped high vis florescent blue. Was on a river swing.
  2. No its gracies landing. Not sure if they are still in buisness for camping really. I just use their boat ramp whenever it's to wet for me to put my boat in, in the back yard. Honestly San Miguel or Toledo bend park would be the better choice but the time frame for yall coming up you can expect wherever yall go to probably be packed with people camping. So book your spots early dont wait.
  3. Check Gracies landing. It's just before north Toledo bend park and I think they do long term slots. Edit to add. Catt is right San miguel would be a good place to call as well. Its located between Gracie's and North Toledo Bend park on the san miguel finger.
  4. Yep. Should be easy to see what I'm doing with all the lightning keep the sky bright?
  5. Honestly from what I seen on San Miguel this year. We had probably a 99% spawn failure. The fish hit the beds and within 2 days the beds were dry land. By the end of that week the fish were gone from the banks. You would be hard pressed to find a legal length bass 9n san Miguel in less them 7 foot of water right now. They got absolutely hammered this year by the weather, water conditions and the sheer amount of fishing pressure.
  6. You might find the odd couple of fish up shallow still spawning but for the most part the spawn is well finished on the north end of the lake.
  7. Hey hey now I dont want it to crowded around me tommorw lol.
  8. Just got off the water. Been out since just before daylight. Found a few groups out in 18 to 22 foot of water. Did the best on a Crigged watermelon red monster lizard that I make myself. Few fell too a crack bait. Nothing to get excited about, mostly post spawn fish looking raggedy and slim. It's that time of year already.
  9. Well looks like shadows landing it is then? How much they charge too put in?
  10. Need info for a boat ramp on negreet bay. I see shadows and turtle beach listed as on that section of lake but not sure if they have a boat ramp. Any public no pay rmaps on that lake section? Looking to put in on negreet bay, so not so much boat running in a section of lake I'm not familiar with.
  11. Water is just too low. Going check some pre/post spawn spots and some creek and channel swings tommorw. But probably going to trailer the boat for a week or two.
  12. Severely. Along with the 600 new bass boats per square mile and this stupid low water. Beds I seen bass on before the front are in 2 inches are less of water now are completely dry ground.
  13. I figure your the perfect person to ask this question. How much weight on average does a Toledo bend lake female lose after she lay's her eggs?
  14. Scale said 7 lbs 10 onces.
  15. Like this kind of frog lol Already spawned put. Anybody want to take a question at the weight? This is the fifth bass off the same bed behind a certain stump in less then 2 weeks.
  16. So those on here that use the mega down imaging units. Are these bass or white perch? I have several spots like this that always have fish on them. But I simply cnat get them to bite. And starting to wonder if they are white perch and not bass. Oh and 8 more took a boat ride home with me today. All were caught on a black and red flake baby ribbet.
  17. So the big pond gave up two 7 plus pounders today. Scale said 7 lbs 9 onces and 7 lbs 11 onces. Crappy pics sorry bout that. Also got my 8 keepers as well. Most of the bits came on a watermelon red 4 inch swimbait and the rest came on a black and red flake baby ribbet. Everything is super shallow and holding tight to whatever wood they can get on.
  18. The big girls are hitting the bank boys. All these are 4 lbs plus and came from 6 inches to 1 1/2 foot of water. White and chartreuse baby ribbet and ghost shad colored swimbait.
  19. Well pattern is holding strong. 1 to 2 foot of water holding tight too wood. Kvd watermelon red swimbait on a owner flasher spinner hook. Numbers went down but the size went up. Should have had my 8 keepers, but had several jump off and 2 very nice bass break me off. But at the end of the day 6 more took a boat ride home for a fish fry lol.
  20. Went out and found 19 today, should have landed way way more but the wind was blowing so hard I had a ton of trouble feeling the bite. Midday and the water temp hit 62 degrees, so I slipped into my fav cove and start throwing the swimbait, frog and spinnerbait. Found 6 nice keepers. Swimbait= kvd in watermelon red flake, 4 inch on a owner flasher spinner hook. Black and red flake baby ribbet. Booyah 3/8 once white and silver sparkle with a twin tail chartreuse trailer that I make myself. Water is slowly rising, we are almost too 170 pool level, next few days should really fire them off after this north wind stops and the water temp starts to stablize in the 60+ degree area. Had to edit. Some how posted the wrong pic the first time.
  21. Not going to say I hammered them today....... Ok I hammered them today. Got my 8 keepers for a fresh bass fry tonight and put back 21 others. Mix of dinks and a few 2 to 3 pounders. Watermelon red flake kvd swimbait on owner flasher spinner hook. Everything holding on wood in 1 to 3 foot of water backs of coves. Wind had the shad pushed up hard in the backs of coves and they were active bug time today.
  22. I may just do that.
  23. I have seen alot of soars and wounds on bass and this one just looked really weird.
  24. Ok does the big pond have lamprey in it? I caught this bass just a few mints ago and while getting it landed. I seen what I thought was a second bass next to it. Well I get it on the bank and there is this very very nasty looking and rotting smelling wound on the fish. The wound is almost perfectly circular.
  25. Just came up from deep water.
