If you saw the bass,chances are they saw you....so you blew it.I would have left them alone and come back later with a different approach. 95% of my bites are bass i never saw.I saw 5 decent bass cruising the banks and weedlines and not one was interested in my offerings this weekend. It does lead me to thinking these fish are much,much harder to catch.They ain't as stupid as some of us think they are.There's a reason they got to be 4-5 pounds. That's my opinion.

You are right.... I'm staying home monday with the family though(weather is also a factor)....my girl told me to get out fishing this weekend as i might have to be doing a lot less of it this year.She works every other weekend and with the gas prices like they are is keeping me home more often.I guess i'm lucky to have an understanding woman at home.Besides i've been doing all the cooking and cleaning.It counts for something to her. I'm a bassholic....i'll admit it. But i know when family comes first.

Another vote for lab or doberman. I have a Lab/mastiff but he's more on the Lab side than anything...little hyper on the puppy side,but once grown up they settle down.I have no issues with his hair as i consider it to be short(close to a doberman) and he's never had it cut.I don't like hairy dogs either as i tend to favor dogs like dobermans or Rottweilers. I dislike small dogs and always wanted to kick em' like a football when they bark.Their barking annoys me big time.So i'm gonna be no help on the small dog part.

I'm probably at a pound or a pound and a half on the largemouth side...I'm giving burley a run for his title "dinkmaster". However my smallmouth is at 2 pounds plus....caught yesterday(5-24-08) I think i target smallmouths more than i do largemouths.

Wish i had a camera....ABU SPINNAREN REFLEX inline spinner.Only have 2 of these given to me by my dad who didn't fish much. These started my love and discovery of how awesome inline spinners are. Not sure how rare or old these things are,but i refuse to fish them so they sit in my tackle box that stays at home.

Know what's funny? I'm about to get rid of every single baitcaster i own except my shimano scorpion...it's the only baitcaster i can cast without backlashing on every 10 casts. It seems like i forgot how to work a baitcaster now. I'm a bit disappointed with myself right now. Since RW introduced me to yo zuri soft i'm in love with it on my spinning reel set up.I'm getting pretty darn close to putting 12# yo zuri on my baitcaster,because trilene flourocarbon is giving me nothing but PROBLEMS!

They do look good...I picked up a pack of these while in TX.

Also be aware of any funny transactions @ the gas stations.If you use your debit card or go inside and the clerk swipes it twice be suspicious of that.I know somebody who actually swipes somebody's card twice and use it at a later time.Once they get those numbers it's pretty much over.

Sucks to be him....I don't feel bad for him however. He's lucky he didn't kill anybody.

I don't know about that non-aggressive part....When i was in TX plenty of them went after people in public lakes,ponds and swamps.From my experience they are really aggressive.I spent 17 years in TX and water moccasins were really the only snakes i saw more often than any other snake that lives in TX.I'm guessing it was just because they got used to people being around.

There's a number of ways he/she could have gotten your credit card numbers. Chance of you getting the money back is probably small to none unless you can prove you didn't make that purchase.However if you haven't paid the bill yet the credit card company will probably clear that part up.Scam is not taken lightly so hopefully he'll get caught. Since you canceled the card now hopefully if whoever has your number tries to use it again,they'll catch him while trying to use it right there at the pump.

I don't know about you guys,but this is gonna cut down my fishing trips. :-/ I think i'm just gonna cut down buying stuff for awhile and only buy what i'm going to use now.

I have one,they are worth the money you pay for them.It's a great deal and one of the better reels in the $50 price range when they go on sale.

I'm using trilene fluorocarbon this year as well.....Like all fluorocarbon line this line has failed to impress me in manageability as well.I have one more line i want to try before i give up and that seaguar. I do however like BPS XPS fluorocarbon...it's the only line that gave me the least amount of problems.

Something needs to be done....I'm going to talk to my girl today into getting a bike.I'm almost done with these gas prices....i can't afford it anymore.

I thought those cameras were just for accidents.According to one store they told me there's an accident everyday on that street and had a hard time telling who was at fault.Which i think is a good idea. If they are for handing out more tickets then it's a big joke.... I always stop now...no matter what.If somebody hits me behind he's at fault 90% of the time.This is also the reason i give myself at least 10 second behind to be able to stop.I hate it when people tail gate me.I've turned into a slow careful driver now.

You nailed it ronnie! I remember once i did that...let's just say i might have missed a day of fishing...but i still had "THE BEST" day that day.If you get my drift..

It's happening here in MI in one lake i will not mention...My boy has caught over 300 smallmouth in just 5 outings.All ranging from a pound to his personal best 6 pound smallmouth.Every single one was caught and released.He showed me pictures to prove it! It seems like the smallmouth population just exploded this year.

Rather the scale was inaccurate or not that's a good size fish for us northerns up here! My congrats goes out to her for catching it.Very impressive catch.Looks like i need to start throwing lizards around more often now.
