3 years ago,decided to just find a lake and catch some bluegills and have fun.Instead that day i landed a black bass to my surprise.Came home looked up some information.Been addicted since then.I've been fishing since i was 10,but it was on and off and my passion wasn't that hardcore for it. I see no plans to be giving up anytime soon.Our bass season here kills me over the winter sometimes.It also gives me a stronger passion that i can't wait for the ice out and bass season to open.

If i ever catch a DD bass or one close to it...I'm photoshopping the background. I can understand why the guys do it. Believe me it's hard enough to find a spot holding the big mommas,even harder catching them i would assume(never caught one).Why give your location away if you don't have to?Some would call it jealously or selfishness,but i do believe these guys who hunt for these monster fish take their time and dedication finding them. My lake everybody here pretty much keeps what they catch.I got sick and mad last year because people kept coming up to me after releasing a nice size bass asking if i catch another they want to keep it.At this point i just go home or move to another spot. > I'm finding more and more reason for a buying a boat soon.Can't afford one just yet...soon enough though.

I can't afford a ticket,so speed limit or just under is how i roll.Gas prices effect how far i want to travel.I'm with muddy,i'm on "p" a lot now.

I can't comment...Part of me is saying "spank the hell out of that kid"...other part of me is what in the world did his parents let him watch? My kid started pre-school monday...i dropped him off yesterday for the first time.It was unbelievable how well behaved those kids were.My kid on the other hand was throwing fits and had a hard time listening to what was being said.NEEDLESS TO SAY!It really woke me up and got me wondering how the hell or what the hell did i do wrong? It scares me....

WoW.....This is their pastor...Guess he doesn't know God hates him too.He should keep his mouth shut too because he doesn't know a darn thing.Little does he know he's hating the very thing he loves. He's forgetting one of the biggest things god gave us..."free will".If anything he can B n' M to god for giving us that "free will" to choose.

They both my favorite lines for mono. However XT does seem more abrasive resistance than big game.With the zebra mussels here it's always a good thing to retie often. I think raul summed it up best.

My dog chewed up about $1000 worth of cds and dvds,chewed up 3 yellow page phone books,my old back up computer harddrive,cd and soundcard.There's a lot more,but i tend to forget about it over time. Only thing he does now is get in the trash every once in awhile.I have to put the trash somewhere high or in a different room otherwise he'll get in it.

When it comes to hooks i'm pretty picky...i don't get much time on the water as i like,so i depend on a good hook.Owner hooks is my first choice. Everything else I'll buy and try.If i like and they produce i'll buy a few more to stock.

Awesome read! Great thread.Honestly i would love to sit in the boat and just watch these guys fish for those hawgs. I know a lot of the greats mention northern strains being easier to catch.I rarely pass 5 fish limit here.What gives?Am i gotta have a harder time fishing for the day in TX when i go down there in may to visit?

Just had a pizza,but my dumb headed self forgot to remove the bottom cardboard before entering in the oven. Lucky me it still came out fine...well,maybe i was just so darn hungry i ate it anyways.

Ever just feel like screaming somedays? This has to be one for me,Both cars break down(ones in the shop and will cost $250),Today is kid's first day of school and he battled from being sick yesterday,i wake up and my left eye is swollen for no reason,i slipped and fell on some black ice on the stairs yesterday almost breaking my wrist and hip(both have a bruise now).Fishing season can't come soon enough.Somehow i still got that gut feeling about 3 more things will still go wrong today. Devil hates me and God's laughing at me... :-/ Boy life is confusing....Somehow i feel life is still worth fighting for.

Fishing with eagle claw hooks for years.I switched over to owners...honestly i CAN tell the difference in hooksets,sharpness and how strong some of the better hooks are compare to the cheap hooks.

I'm gonna make sure my kids have some appreciation for the outdoors.My parents took me and my brothers camping once a month back in the day. However the neighborhood here is filled with ghetto wannabe punks,so his friends are gonna have to get my approval.With that said,i see myself taking him and his friends to the decent park a few miles away.

I sure miss Texas. Will be visiting my mom and pop in may...i can't wait!

Watch for sales...that place has some real nice sales on stuff if you catch them at the right time. I really like mine,they just opened one here not too long ago.
