This worries me now....I'm using a MH rod with 6# test yozuri ultra soft as well for my spinning set up. That 6# test played a critical role in feeling those soft bites in 25 MPH winds i had to face today.

I probably would have tripped them on their way running out. I'll admit though..that took some guts to pull a stupid stunt like that.

If they followed it,do what i do.Cast it out,let it hit the bottom wait a few seconds,then rip it up as if you set the hook and let it settle to the bottom again(reel in the slack line).Repeat.DEADLY! A lot of strikes come as the bait flutters back down. Even works with a fluke as a trailer if those plastic minnows get tore up.I lose a lot of tails to bluegills,so i use flukes.

I'm glad none of the stores around here do that to me.However if you figure buying online with shipping charges you'd be either paying the same as you drive somewhere(with these gas prices nowadays) or you'd be saving money buying an item online than going to the store getting it. So if you are having problems,just stick to buying online(you can pretty much find everything you need)....I have 5 major stores here plus 2 mom's and pop's store that i know of within 20 min-1 hour drive and i still buy 65% of my stuff online.

The hooks on it sucks.They dull out pretty fast However i like the action and got some pretty decent fish with that fluttering action it gives out.I think it's similar to a spoon.

I don't drink very much, but their summer ale is great. I agree.A 6 pack is plenty,after 6 you kinda start to lose the taste with Sam adam's ale(starts to not taste right).If i'm gonna drink to get a buzz going i usually just drink Milwaukee's beer.

False,all you will do is make the other guy more money and run whoever you don't buy gas from out of business. That's exactly what is happening in some places,in that case they will try to raise prices to make up for what they lost.Take example of "gas ban day"...alot of people tried it out and the very next day gas was raised up. You really don't come out ahead either way. What really needs to come down is the price per barrel and everybody needing and buying less gas.Which is gonna be real hard to do.The greedy gas companies know it too.

I got an idea...Bug the heck out of to the point she wants you out of the house....works for me. I'd go with fluke's answer as well.My girl knows i fish and doesn't complain.Long as i'm home when i need to be and the house duties are kept up. Now fishing tackle...that's another thing.

I did all my shopping at academy and sport's authority in TX.I went a little nuts when i saw the sale bins there.Missed BPS but made it to Cabela's .

Heading to Waxahachie.Parents just brought a house out there.We are leaving around 6 in the morning on Saturday by plane.About a 2 and 1/2 hour flight. Will be down there from the 3rd to the 10th.

Saturday at 6am my girl,kid and I are heading down to TX to see my family for a whole week! After 5 years,man i got the butterflies! Now i gotta figure out how to sneak a small fishing trip and catch one of them TX hawgs. 8-) Wearing shorts and 80 degrees is sure gonna feel good! Wish me luck on my airplane ride there,my kid and girl's first time flying.

A line conditioner is a MUST on fluorocarbon for me.

It's a problem with every fluorocarbon i used.The only thing that really seems to help is spray a little reel magic.Helps manage the line a little better.I'd bet KVD line spray(one of the sponsors of this site) would be a great one too. Fluorocarbon is just stiff...all of them are when they are brand new.Gotta break it in a little. I'm trying berkley fluorocarbon right now and had the problem as well on my first fishing trip of the year(Forgot to spray the line the night before).The 15 mph wind didn't help me either that day.

wow.....i'm not surprised.Prices are getting so bad that now people are stealing gas. People with gas cards be very cautious around the pumps.Thieves are trying to steal the numbers here.I overhear a kid talking about it. Looks like a locking cap is going on both of our cars soon too!

LOL @ hawgchaser...You said citica performs like the extremes....then said it performs like a $200 reel.Something ain't right there...Last i checked citicas are $120.You did contradict yourself a little bit.Now if you had said it performs like a curado it'd be different.However i highly doubt it does. Which is the reason you didn't compare it to the curado,because you know better. Honestly i have the citica and the extreme...guess which one performs better for me?I'll give you a hint it starts with the brand name Shimano.No i'm not brand loyal either so don't try to pin it.

I got out saturday.Managed to catch a baby smallmouth. The wind was brutal. It showed me how much i still suck at baitcasting.
