Why R Bass LockJawed After A Cold Front
I didnt believe it before but now I do. BP has an effect with fishing. I go to www.weatherundergound.com and check BP after a bad fishing trip and noticed that it was high. Im still logging and researching this but I think high BP has an effect on fishing. Anyone else noticed this also.

Whats wrong with my sonar?
Sorry about that, its a Eagle Fishmark 320. Called Lowrance today about a repair, they said it would be $99.00 since it was out of warranty. Guess I might as well buy another unit.

Suggestion for bassresource.com
Yeah youre right, but I have the same problem with walleye fishing articles. Seem like most walleye fishing articles are based on fishing in Minnesota, Wisconsin, or Canada. I fish for walleye on deep canyon reservoirs of the south and southwest part of the country and have tried them Northern techniques and they dont really apply to this area. You just have to take different things and tweak them a little to fish your fishing enviroment. This is a great site with lots of information that is helpful, just tweak and change it a little.

Can't even force-feed plastics...
Its the money bait if thats what the fish want! :-/

Senko technique
My favorite way is wacky rigged and my favorite color is black/blue with glitter. I also use Tikki-Stiks instead of Senkos, they last longer and cost less but they're not as soft as senkos.

Fish Finders (Knowledge needed)
I have a Eagle FIsh Easy 2 and a Eagle Fishfinder 320. Ive had alot of problems with the 320. I think Lowrance makes Eagle, so I would recommend to try Hummingbird or Garmin.

What line for cranking?
I use a medium graphite rod with a baitcaster reel on it. I use 12lb, sometimes 10lb line mono. I prefer a baitcaster for crankbaits. I never use anything less than 10lb mono for cranking because line stretch becomes a factor then.

Happy with your Merc outboard?
I also have a Mercury 2-stroke and have had no problems. Ive heard 4strokes are high maintenance, but I wouldnt think so.

Used Bass Boat
If you get it watch out for the oil injection system on that johnson/evinrude, easily blow up a motor. In fact I would disable it and mix the fuel/oil myself.

My Formula For Success
I need serious help with number one. I just go down the banks with crankbait or spinnerbait until I find fish. I think thats not the best way to find fish nor the most efficient. How many of you actually use your depthfinder to locate fish? Ive located fish on the graph and dropped a bait to them. But never have had any luck catching any of them. Do you guys have any tips for quickly finding productive water or using depthfinders to help locate and catch fish? Dont want to be a nomad on the lake anymore, when I throw a bait I want to be 100% sure that theres fish there. ???

so how many....
At least once per day until fishing season comes on in or the honey do's pile up!

fiberglass or aluminum
Aluminum is tough, easy to tow, inexpensive. Plus you can take it into the jungle without worrying so much about bumping the stumps and scratches! But theyre rough riding and difficult to control in windy conditions. Save your money and buy a fiberglass boat!

My Topwater Blues!!
If you get frustrated with poppers or spooks, switch to a BUZZBAIT. Just reel steadily until fish grabs on the bait, then set the hook. Buzzbaits are easy to fish and also catch bigguns!!!!! ;D
