  1. V's cut water better (as mention above) but I feel flats are more stable if size is the same
  2. Snakes, Gators, & Alligator Gars... No Thanks I'll Stay in the Boat! But to each his own... ;D
  3. If you are thinking electric Automotive type, It's a bad ideal unless you have a method of stopping them when the motor stops. Now if it marine style and will only pump gas when the outboard is running, then i can see no problem as long as the pressure from the electric pump is regulated to match that of the outboards on board pump Just my two cents......
  4. I'm on the hunt for a replacement tool I'm currently looking at these two models GARMIN Fishfinder 160C Eagle Cuda 350s (was looking at the 250s but it now out of production > ) Any thoughts on either, Thanks :-?
  5. I saw them at wally-world on Wednesday March 11th. They are sweet. They collapse to a nice package and they extend to a very workable length. Kwik Tek Telescoping Paddle $18.98 - $23.98 Model No.: P-1 Weight (in pounds): 1.25 Product in Inches (L x W x H): 45.0 x 6.5 x 2.0 Wal-Mart No.: 000905709
  6. Spraying orange or a citrus based cleaner that you can find at MOST STORES should keep most cats away. My mom does not like cats and she sprays this around the base of her house and it keeps the cast away for about 2 months per aplication
  7. Just rethinking the above though... It might be a 1436 or a 1440 My 1436 Duracraft is 58 at it's widest and 42 at the Transom top What make is your boat
  8. PVC Thin wall with Caps at both ends
  9. Hey I can't find the thread about the outriggers. I never do good with the search engine on here why is that? Here is that tread on the out riggers http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1235045372/11#11
  10. Ok I understand now I thought you had the Yamaha 3 HP You have the Mercury Verado 3 HP Right
  11. If I was you i would check the serial number on that three and make sure that it's not a 30 HP that someone switch the cowling on But if it is a three HP just add some weight to the front end and that should solve your problem BTW I saw the $25 Motor Stabilizer at wally world today, almost got a package for the Eska 2.5 HP. That I used on my canoe.
  12. It's probably a 1448 That's 14 foot long and 48 inches at the bottom of the transom Should be stable if you don't get to crazy with the decking above the water line. $30 bones that was a steal
  13. Yes you can, but beware your run / amp hr will be based on the smaller amp battery not the larger. 6volt 360 amp connected to a 6volt 300 am will give you 12 volt 300 am system If my info is wrong, some one please correct or ad to this answer
  14. Ok it's 14 foot long, what is the width at the bottom
  15. Simple question, should get a simple answer. Yea they were either dry rotted or Retreads. As for telling if the tires or dry rotted or not. Not sure. Best to change them out at the first sign of peeling or cracking on either the treads or the side walls. Some simple change them all out ever 4 or 5 years. A bot or your life is always worth more than the cost of a few tires I would say dry rotted and he needs to replace all the tires on his trailer to include the spare
  16. Georgia Process just about the same as Texas... Hinesville/Fort Steward GA 3 Boats. Neither had title in hand.
  17. Yea the La route is easier but they will still ask you for the "Blue form" (I have two boats in Bossier City, near Shreveport ) The blue form is the PW 143, and they may still ask you for the form PW 314 Good Luck!!
  18. Here is the Design that I am working on right now. Just not sure of what type of metal to use. Stainless steel, Aluminum, or Iron covered to stop galvanic corrosion on the 1432 and on the canoe. On the canoe and the jon they will be 9 1/2 feet on both sides
  19. This might be an easy build. I'm about to start the process of making the same out of 4 inch or 6 inch (10 foot long each side) PVC for my canoe and if they work well I'll do the same for the 1432, with shorter out rigger arms. hardest part so far has been the cross member metal type & design
  20. Since you did not ask for the boat to be re-power from a 25 4s to 50 2s. I would only change my offer based on the cost difference in the two motors. The re-power was something they did not something that you requested. Then again I'm cheap, and refuse to pay for changes someone makes to an item on their behalf! Just my 2 cents. Modified for spelling only!!
  21. I just went through the same actions with my canoe. Any question drop me a PM or we can posted here in the form Here are the steps to get it done fast and simple! Get these forms and have the father fill them out (Don't even mention the fact that the boat was given to the son) Take it to TPWD office and you will leave with your title receipt in hand. TPWD will be able to vertify ownership of the boat via the TX #### on the boat. On the PWD 314 have the dad write a statement that the title has been lost/misplaced over time, and that this tranaction is in no way an act of fraud or a means to cover up a thefh. Also download the form that is used to do a pencile tracing of the boats vin number. Verification of Vessel or Outboard Motor Serial Number PWD 504 media download(PDF 241.8 KB) Take pictures of Boat vin, TX number, and the boat itself. http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/fishboat/boat/forms/ Affidavit of Facts PWD 314 media download(PDF 232.5 KB) * This form is used to provide written explanations of specific situations. * Form is used as a support document.
