  1. 10" Black Power Worm
  2. AWESOME BOAT!! May you catch many fish out of it.
  3. You can buy Norman Original cranks in clear. You can also strip them of the paint with paint thinner. As long as the baits were made of plastic you'll get a clear effect.
  4. I'm currently waiting to get pelted with 8-11 inches of the white stuff. :'( :'( Oh well, bass season doesn't open till May, so I got a while which is even sadder :'( :'( :'( :'(
  5. BASSMASTER (although they've started slimming down on their articles.)
  6. 1. Gulp! Earthworm 2. Chompers Super Wacky Worm
  7. Can't say I actually have a "PANIC BOX!!!" I guess I just throw something that I have complete confidence in: Flipping Black/Blue jigs, Cranking, and Shakey heading Gulp! Earthworms.
  8. Don't worry about it. The fish don't seem to care what how colorful your braid is. 8-)
  9. I don't need eight but heres mine: 1. 6" Lizard (grn. pumpkin) 2. Rattle Trap 3. 4" Tube (Watermelon Red) 4. Big O (Cabela's wood version) 5. 5" Senko (various colors) 6. 7" Senko (various colors)
  10. Yes! I like to throw translucent colors however in this situation and a killer ultra clear water color is CLEAR. Did I just say that????? No but seriously don't tell anyone else. oh wait , its a public forum. ;D
  11. I've never considered using a narrower trailer, just one with less appendages to keep it from getting hung up. My trailers are either a craw chunk which works great for the heavy grass and a hula grub which works wonders everwhere except heavy grass.
  12. X4, AWESOME RANGER. May you catch many a bass with it! Just for fun, what kind of speed does she put out?
  13. I believe he was trying to say that when he said that the brakes come on too soon is that the rod loads to fast when setting the hook on a fish, thus pulling the bait away from the fish.
  14. Never heard of this happening before. I haven't heard of anything that lubes braid, and for sure don't think it'll work cause everything eventually washes off. Try upsizing your braid to 20lb.
  15. You got a great light pitching/flipping setup. I really like 6' 10" rods for skipping baits under docks. Other good techniques are texas rigs, jigs, spinnerbait, crankbait.
  16. Slap a Shimano Citica or Cruxis on loaded with 50lb Power Pro and you got a awesome pitching/flipping, frog rod. But I'd personally use it to skip jigs and tubes under docks!
  17. The only buzzbait I throw is a 1/2oz. Lunker Lure in black. This buzzbait has a 5/0 hook that extends back quite a ways so there is no need for a trailer hook. I do like to thread on a black grub to give it more bulk and slow the retrieve down.
  18. I generally use 8lb P-Line 100% Fluorocarbon when fishing the dropshot when there is scattered vegetation and wood around. For a more open water or just plain rock/sand I drop down to the 6lb.
  19. I guess I'm the only one that loves Gulp! SMALLIES JUST CRUSH THEM!!! I keep them in the original bags and keep them all in a ziplock bag (GALLON SIZE). I keep the Gulp! Alive buckets in ice cream pales just incase the buckets leak and from spilling all over the place.
  20. Heres what i would do: Curado 300E with Ike Rod 7'2 H: That should do well fishing small swimbaits, flipping grass, pitching, Carolina Rigs, Frogs (50lb BRAID!) Chronarch on Cumara 6' 8" MH: That should fish Texas Rigs, Tubes, cranks, Buzzbaits, Senkos, Topwater Revo STX with Falcon 7' MH: Texas Rigs, Tubes, Spinnerbaits, Buzzbaits, Senkos, Jigs, Crankbaits Chronarch with Carrot Stick 7'3" MH" Spinnerbaits, Small Swimbaits, Tubes, Jigs, Texas Rigs, Carolina Rigs, Senkos, Topwater Revo with Okuma: Jigs, Tubes, Texas Rigs, Carolina Rigs, Senkos, Spinnerbaits I noticed that all your rods are MH with the exception of the Ike rod. All these rods can do pretty much the same work as the others depending on the pound test of line you use. You might want to look into a 7' M spinning rod to fill out your lineup for finesse like shakey heads and dropshots. Good lineup though.
  21. When it comes to fishing equipment you really do get what you pay for. However, even a cheap reel will suffice. I fished alot of the Shimano Callisto's and Crestfires which are $40 reels and I had a Shakespear or two that was $30 before I got smart and upgraded to Citica's and Curados. If you don't fish alot than it is better to fish cheaper reels but if your gonna fish tournaments or be out on the water every day your better off fishing some higher end reels. The $40-$50 reels are awesome until the graphite frames break which usually break in a season of hard fishing or two, then it usually is better to go buy a new one in most cases. As far as your current reel, I agree adjust the spool tension knob until the spool just barely moves when on free spool when you have a lure tied on.
  22. I can't honestly say I have a favorite b/c they have there times and places. However, I'd say I'm fishing either a senko or a tube more time than the rest. Senko usually is deadsticked and tubes are swam slowly.
  23. What a bummer, all my shimano's get upgrades. currently having my new citica's upgraded with curado guts.
