Going to pour my own
Do you guys melt your plastic in the microwave or on the stove?

Going to pour my own
Upnorth, thank you. I'm really looking forward to getting started. My kit should be here in 3-4 days. Once I get the hang of it I want to make my own molds. Hopefully this will help with the cabin fever this winter

Going to pour my own
Well I just bought myself a worm pouring kit from fishing world. I was wondering, can you melt down store bought worms to make new ones?

What kind of fishfinder do you use?
Garmin 240 on the bow, LMS 160 on the console. I like the 240, going to update the 160

Let's see your boats!!!
Here is mine. 1996 Procraft 200 Superpro, 200 hp Merc. 20ft. The last year they made the "Pad" hull design. Fast and fishable

center driving bass boats
I wonder how hard a center console boat is to balance when you have one guy in the middle and the other off to one side or the other, it seems like it would be really unbalanced

Bass Boats Breaking Up
cart7, I wish I could afford a new Champion, a friend of mine runs a new 206 on Erie and it's amazing in rough seas. An incredible ride for a bass boat. Its slow compared to my boat, but what a ride.

Bass Boats Breaking Up
As LBH said, I think its unlikely a bass boat will break in half from front to back, but I know of more than one situation on Lake Erie that a boat has split at the seam under the rub rail causing water to enter the hull fast enough that the bilge pumps would'nt keep up. There isnt much holding a bass boat together where the top of the hull meets the bottom. Pretty amazing really. It's not a bad idea to remove the rub rail and inspect the screws that hold your boat together from time to time and tighten any that may be loose.

Re: What have you caught on accident?
I was fishing Lake Erie for smallies and pulled in a St. Croix Legend with a Shamano Spirex reel. It looked like new. I wish that happened more often!

Sonar noise?
I have a buddy that does quit well fishing FLW, he always turns of all his electronics when fishing shallow. If I have my transducer out of the water I hear a distinct clicking sound that seems like it would be very loud under water. As a result I now turn off my units also but can't say for sure it increases my bite but it helps my confidence

rumblings of baitfish: how to handle?
Ditto on the tubes. I live on a 100 acre lk. that had way to many grass carp stocked to control the weeds. As a result there is no place for the bait fish to hide and the bass simply follow them around in big schools. When they start feeding I throw a white tube in the middle of it all, twitch it a time or two and let it fall. It seems the smaller fish will be near the surface, but if your tube makes it through them I seem to get bigger fish the closer it gets to the bottom. Other baits work at times but on this lake this is the most productive

How did you do this years so far?
Had a great year fun fishing but never got in the money in our tournys. Just missed the money in four of them. Lost fish seemed to be a bigger problem this year than any time in my life. I will be working hard to correct this for next year. Good luck to everyone this fall.

CRANK BAITS FOR BRUSH
A square bill is by far the best

Be quiet!
I agree 100% but let me tell you something that has worked for my partner and I. Try pitching or flipping your baits so they hit the water at the same time but on opposite sides of the cover be it a stump, bush or whatever. I m not saying you should make a splash but this seems to really create more reaction strikes when they dont seem to be hitting well.
