The centrifugal brakes help at the very beginning of cast, if you are able to cast without backlashes with them turned off leave them off. They are another tool to help eliminate backlashes only. There is no "right" way to set them, everyone is different and needs to find what works for them.

I have one in my bag and this will be its 3rd season. As stated before keep caps on tight and in a zip lock bag.

You will get many answers, but from my experience Seaguar Abrazx fits this perfectly. I tried a few others and now all but two BC rods have Abrazx, the others are braid for heavy weeds.

not sure down there, but up here a lot are not 24x7 and none have power hook ups. Unfortunately I live in an HOA which doesn't allow me to park a boat for 24 hours to charge either, so no boat for me....

As soon as it is safe to launch, have gone out before and used the boat to break skim ice up so we had a place to cast.

All I use when I am punching, have 100% confidence in it.

There are no rules to which line to use, or reels or rods....... use what works for you.

There are discussions over and over again on this topic, it really comes down to what feels good. Personally I use straight fluoro, with one copoly rod for topwater and two braid rods for heavy grass. Mono is absolutely horrendous to me. I tried each until I found what worked on the water for me, not what some none fishing test said or opinions of others.

c-rig is an method that the rod is used impart action on the bait. The reel only acts for casting, reel in and keeping up with a fighting fish so a high speed reel is going to help.

Thursday this week the prediction is 6-12 inches of snow, even with highs in the 40's nights will be below freezing. It will take way long than a couple days to thaw these lakes out.

They are calling for 8-9 inches of snow thursday, after sleet/freezing rain tomorrow. If those two are like any of the lakes I have seen it will be awhile before they thaw. Even the mainstream of the lower potomac around DC was frozen completely across...

Could not agree more, I am a repeat customer and can't say enough good on Mike's work Well I could agree more but haven't received my custom rod from him yet cannot wait for it to be finished.

Interesting test but will it sway me at all away from straight flouro for almost everything I fish, not at all. These test may be interesting but the test I will follow every single time is results on the water. I switched to almost all flouro before last tourney season, Stratos20SS will attest to how well that went. I won 5 out of 8 tourneys, losing the last one by one ounce. Had big fish at a couple tourneys along with lunker of the year. These results mean way more to me than any of these tests. The setups I do not have flouro on are top water and frog rods.

Last concert I was at was a little over a year ago. Saw Rob Zombie in a 900 person venue in DC called 9:30 Club. He always puts on a great show, seeing him at this small venue was outstanding.

I used to, its decent but not very smooth. It is no longer in my rotation There are better options out there, mine got replaced with a Pflueger Supreme MGX which has been very good.
