  1. Live show - Rob Zombie (which I will be seeing in a couple weeks in Pittsburgh) Otherwise, Five Finger Death Punch, Marilyn Manson, Slipknot, In this Moment
  2. Are you sure they are not tail bites? Sometimes the bass just don't take swimbaits fully, just grab the tail or slap at it. What weight and type of line are you using? Baitcast or spinning?
  3. I for one will not buy any tungsten weights with inserts, only issue I have ever had with them is the insert sliding or falling out completely which almost instantly cuts the line.
  4. That is awesome, I know the feeling. My daughter went to the prom last weekend. Seeing her all dressed up for it brought a tear to my eye. Hard to believe she is 17 already.
  5. There is no "best" line, everyone has different preferences. I would suggest putting a different line on each to see which one you prefer.
  6. Those ratings are suggestions only, lower lb test line will not be an issue. However, the lure weight is a little important. Need enough weight for the rod to load properly in order to cast. It won't hurt the rod put may hurt casting to go to low.
  7. Biggest for me was a 4lb 7oz largemouth, which tied for co-angler lunker. The boater lunker was a 5lb smallmouth.
  8. Well that will ruin your day.... Had a pretty good day at my tourney at Conowingo yesterday. Ended up with 17lbs even to finish second for co-anglers. Nice mix of smallmouth and largemouth.
  9. Lake Gaston is great!! Navigation is very easy. Depending on time of year they can be. There is a lot of dock fishing. Water levels are legally required to only fluctuate a little. Lake Kerr is used to maintain levels in Gaston. It is a beautiful lake.
  10. If fishing Black Hills from shore get away from where everyone else fishes. The easy shore spots to get to are pounded in oblivion. As mentioned in my earlier post there are some fish still shallow but they are transitioning to post spawn and moving out. Another option not to far away is Seneca Creek State Park just off of Clopper Rd. (Rt. 117). Smaller lake with shore access to the whole thing.
  11. Only needed one test, did it work for me on the water. The answer was a resounding yes, so I use it on almost every setup I have.
  12. Pretty good day at Black Hills today. Ended up winning the co-angler side of my club tourney with 5 fish for 16lbs 1oz and big fish with on a little over 4lbs. Seems the lake is transitioning from spring to early summer. Don't think fish will be tied to the bank much longer.
  13. Now that is something to be proud of. Congrats!!!!
  14. Fishing pressure can make the bite extremely difficult, obviously the fish do not stop eating but fooling them into biting artificial is more difficult. Time to throw stuff different than others are throwing, I bet most will be throwing very similar baits which is the local "hot" bait. Whether its bigger or smaller, moving or very slow finesse put something in front of them that is outside the normal artificial.
  15. Ha ha..don't worry Glenn its safe. It is on my upper left chest.
  16. Got my first tattoo today, been thinking about this design for awhile. Decided to get it, pic doesn't do it justice the detail is great.
  17. I have been doing very well so far this year trying it, been using 3/32oz mushroom heads. My only issue is the exposed hook, still trying to figure out a weedguard which doesn't kill the action.
  18. I am one who will fish a weightless senko in 20ft of water also, caught a lot of very good fish doing it. Is it efficient, obviously no but my goal is to catch fish not see how many cast I can make. If they want to eat a senko like that I will be more than happy to feed it to them.
  19. Bought a cheap pflueger and hated it. Gave up for a year then got a citica d, very short learning curve later the baitcast buying spree began.
  20. I have multiple rods with 20lb flouro for this purpose and spinnerbaits/chatterbaits in the heavy stuff. Works great for me, I am using Abrazx, no experience with the two lines you mention so can't help there.
  21. Temps in that range I would be throwing blade baits.
  22. Just my normal heads up, my club is doing a tourney on Black Hills this saturday. We will be launching at 6am and weigh in at 2:30. With 18 boats it gets kind of hectic, as some on this forum can attest to, so just a heads up.

Retiredbosn, this is my second Ecoboost. Normal driving I got 18mph, cruising on the highway I got as high as 24. Power is outstanding, the torque is down low where you need it. Towed boats and horse trailers (2 horse) with no issues hardly know they are there. Guys in my fishing club have 2011 with over 80k miles towing 21ft rangers with zero problems.

yeah the guide is nice, this one is the first one I had which has the lines adjust as you turn the steering wheel.

Aluminum will not rust at all, shed a lot of weight too. Ford says 700lbs, not sure it meets that but it is noticable when driving it. Black is my favorite color for trucks, its harder to keep clean but looks so good especially with the chrome package. Need to get a pic of the front, the black with chrome on the front grille looks great. Oddly I think the oddest change is going from a backup camera in the rear view mirror to the display being in the 8 inch My Touch screen.
