Maryland's Who's who!
The river is big but fishes small, mostly just community holes

Should I Give Up??
Give up and you do not figure it out. The tough times only make it more fun when you start getting into them.

Leave saturday morning for a week at Guntersville, looks like the temps will be warming up hopefully get the action going again. After a rough day yesterday at the house need some good tight lines.

mid range crank rod
Looking at getting a decent rod for mid range crankbaits, such as DT6's. Anyone have any thoughts on a 100-150 option for this?

Maryland's Who's who!
A year ago I partially tore my MCL, no fun at all getting all kind of great fishing reports and knowing I was out of action. End of next week I head down to Lake Guntersville for a week of fishing. Should be a good time, hoping for some big girls.

This time of year not that bad, as we move into summer it will turn into a zoo.

New boat continues. HELP
yeah, I can see how that would cause some issues. Around here there are next to no lakes which allow gas motors. You get used to loading with trolling motor only pretty quick. With my Ultrex I put it on 7 and it will hold with the prop just under the surface, line it up and just pull up the motor right before it hits the trailer.

New boat continues. HELP
Loading with the trolling motor is not that bad at all. One thing that would mean a lot to me is the RT188 would be new and the Z7 has some wear on it and likely out of warranty.

Maryland's Who's who!
If it's a prop motor be very careful where you put it in. The upper is mostly very shallow and prop damage is a high possibility.

Four mile run, VA. tidal tributaries
Not overly easy getting a boat back there, have to catch tides right. There is a big mud flat right at the entrance, in low tide you can very easily get stuck. There are several good holes though that if you hit them at the right time can be very good.

Anyone Going to Mardi Gras?
Went down for new years a couple years ago and it was great then, one of these years need to get down for Mardi Gras. The food was outstanding, just keep hitting the little hole in the wall places. Avoided the tourist trap and national chain places, they make no sense when down there.

Lake Anna VA
Ended up getting the stomach bug Friday night....spent the beautiful day stuck inside.....

Lake Anna VA
Is Anna thawed out? Heard it was still frozen down to the 208 bridge last weekend, been rather warm so I suspect its open but wanted to make sure. Planning to head down tomorrow morning.

New types of batteries for new boat
I purchased a new boat about a year ago so this is exactly what I did. 3 group 31 AGM batteries, two for trolling motor and the other for starter/electronics. They will go thru more charging cycles, don't have the performance dropoff, you can install upside down or sideways if you need to, no acid to get over your boat, no maintenance other than charging.....

The ideal troll motor
yes, cable steer is quicker and you can tell which direction you are going without looking down.
-
The ideal troll motor
At least an 80lb thrust Ultrex, control of a cable steer with spot lock and other capabilities of an electric. Has been an amazing motor for my rt188. Not familiar with boat to suggest a shaft length.

Great American Outdoor Show
Used to go every year, but freshwater fishing items went way down. Not worth the time for me anymore

Show off your dog/pet
Got to love rescue pups, all of ours have been rescues. The one in the pic above was 6 when we adopted him, was left at a kill shelter with no reason given. They realized he was an IG and turned him over to the rescue group. We think it was because he was Lyme positive and had seizures.

Wifi dead spot fixed
The wifi has been an issue at my house with dead spots in some areas I really wanted good signal. So went out today and got a 3 pack version of Google Wifi. After an extremely easy setup all the dead spots are gone, from iffy if you could connect to full strength signal. Only took about 15 minutes including unboxing. Highly recommend this one if anyone else has dead zones. No I do not have any business connection to them, just an impressed user.

Battery needs trickle charger
Not necessarily, if you don't have one make sure to immediately charge after use and hook it up once a month to top off.
-
Line Weight
Line weight depends on different things, lure weight, cover, grass, more than temps.

Set the hook.....Fast!
I think most people would be shocked to see how many bites they actually get versus what they feel.
