Ranger 198p or Xpress 19 pro
Tippy? My 188 is not tippy at all even being smaller. Cant speak to depth of compartments i do not know the express setup but the 188 holds all my crap with room to spare. Bet if you asked the Ranger guy he would say no comparison the other way. Both are nice boats, probably best to take a direct look at each.

Bilge pump question
Okay...was worth a shot. Will look for a auto one that fits in my rt188. Some have a longer float arm that does not look like they will fit.

Bilge pump question
My boat does not have an automatic bilge pump so need to switch it out before I go on multiple day trips. Was watching a fishing show were they talked about some which are cartridge based, it if fails you just replace the cartridge not the whole unit, this is a pretty good advantage. However, I am not having any luck finding them online. Anyone got any ideas on where to find them and/or suggested model?

Go with the Ultrex, cable steering with electric power assist. Get all the spot lock and other options of electric with the control and ease of cable steer.

Carolina Wren
For a tiny bird they make their presence known. But yeah, hard to find a better way to start the day then a cup of coffee on the front porch listening to them and the other birds watching the sunrise. My wife would add watching the horses too.

Festivals??
Never did a multiple day festival, closest I came was a Rock Allegiance just south of Philly in 2015. 3 stage all day affair, had a great time.

Trolling motor switch
Currently have a Minn Kota Maxx 70 on my 2015 RT188, have an Ultrex 80 on the way. Being new to this wanted to get anyones thoughts on mistakes to avoid, items to get before hand, or any other tips on making this change. It does not have Link so no need for setting up connection to the HB units, just the trolling motor and directional puck.

New Baitcaster Setup
check out the sticky in this forum "how to cast a baitcaster" good info in there. Suggest not worrying about distance at first. Go for consistant cast, be smooth in the motion, start with 3/8 or 1/2oz weight at first. Practice practice practice

Girlfriend and hobbies?
Its interesting when someone post a question on a forum asking for peoples thoughts and opinions. Then some get mad at the answers provided from people who have been in the situation. It is up to the OP to decide what advise he wants to take but he had to be aware ditching her was going to be option advised.

Steering wheels need user warnings on them
Basically the idea is to not make everyone stop, keep moving. If another car is in the circle adjust to come in behind them, if several cars you may have to stop. Once in the circle you have right of way, do not stop in the circle because someone else is approaching it. Stay in your lane as you go thru it, see so many people cutting the corners off and using both lanes.

No luck today.
Things change sometimes hour to hour, a change in weather can really force you to adjust. With the conditions you describe i would figure the moved tight to cover and got lockjaw.

Steering wheels need user warnings on them
I will be happy if they would teach people how to go thru a round-a-bout....its not that hard.

Girlfriend and hobbies?
You are not responsible for her happiness, or finding her a hobby. Giving you grief because you want some time to be yourself is a huge red flag, you are not even married and she is already doing it. Think what it would be like married and with a kid. You are young there are plenty of good women out there. Can it be saved, possibly, but do not make yourself miserable to please anyone.
