  1. I saw the article on Facebook, they did not like when I gave my opinion on how bad the article was. The drag is an key part of the reel, why would you not use it for a purpose they do well. A properly set drag will help you land a high percentage of hookups.
  2. yep...painful sitting here at work knowing my club has started the first day of a 2 day tourney on one of my favorite lakes.
  3. First thing i switched to on my boat
  4. What is her hobby, time to be herself? Key is to have together time mixed in, cannot be all one way. I have fishing, wife has horses. We go weeks sometimes hardly seeing each other but make time when we can together. Although married we understand we are still individuals who need to be ourselves. Do not get selfish about it though.
  5. turn off the **** on the page and the drop down will work...... there is a posted item on this area of the forums about blockers of ad's, it will explain how to fix this issue....
  6. Alberto knot is smaller and strong it will help. Curious, why the heavy line on spinning.
  7. Caps got off to there normal playoff start, good to see they pulled out the win. They would not have won that game the last few years.
  8. Yeah, it feels great when you first set the hook and you get that nice solid stop. thoughts of a good bass go away quickly when the cat takes off.....
  9. Cyber Security Forensics, most of the time its enjoyable because it fits my personality and strengths.
  10. Blues and flatheads are considered invasive species just like the snakehead. They are all over the lower Potomac, 40 to 60 pound fish are pretty common with them. Nothing like fishing a jig, get bit and when you set the hook on what you think is a bass only to have it be a 40lb catfish......
  11. NHL.... The Wizards, good to see them having a good season. They has some confidence and a nice bench, will be interesting to see how they play in the playoffs.
  12. You know its been to long when it feels good just to retie and get boat ready. All the pics of good fish and reports while i was sidelined. But now knee is healed enough to get back out Saturday. Heading down to the lower Potomac for some of the big largemouth being caught.
  13. Some places it varies by body of water, do yourself a favor and check your specific lake. Some range from no bigger motor, to it must be trimmed up, to it can be in the water just not running.
  14. Lies, d**n lies, and statistics. Just be able to defend your numbers and all will be good.
  15. If you have to be worried about the weight of the trailer you are cutting it way way to close. realize also the "boat weight" in a lot of cases is dry hull weight, which does not include motor or any components inside the boat. literally just the hull....
  16. I looked like crazy when i lived down there, moved Oct 1st. Only places i could find had no power. There is a storage place by 118 and Wisteria that is 24 hour access. Hopefully you can find someplace, craigslist has places every now and then. I just did not find one i liked.
  17. not sure if "opening a can of worms" or "beating a dead horse" is more appropriate. This topic has been discussed ad nauseam
  18. Honestly don't care if it was allowed or not, just find it very boring same as sitting and dunking live bait. Just not for me.
  19. boring.......zzzzzz...
  20. howdy stranger
  21. Good to see some nice fish being caught in the area, but hard to see while being sidelined. Need to get out, need the tight line fix....
  22. Sounds like it was not completely straight on the hook.
  23. I would be very leery of making the inside of the boat all black. Standing on that all day in the summer could get very overwhelming.
  24. easiest thing to do for DC license is online https://doee.dc.gov/service/get-fishing-license
