  1. Plenty of open water out my way. Powder Mill Pond is fully open, including the launch area. Otter Lake is open. I think Stumpfield might be close to open on the parts by the road/bridge, but the main lake was pretty frozen over on Monday afternoon. The road was also closed as of Monday, and this rain will not help. I was also considering Pawtuckaway on Friday, so a water level report would be great if anyone has checked. I was also curious if Spofford Lake was open if anyone is out that way. I would not mind catching some Pike early on. Let's go get 'um!
  2. NIce fish...still bigger than anyting I've caught this winter except for that d**n flu! That things was a monster.
  3. Went out last night for the first time in a month and a half. The fish cooperated with lots of 1-2 lbs's. I hooked into this 4lb 15oz beauty as well.
  4. Hey Mike you might want to think about hitting Halfmoon pond in Hancock. That's where I got my personal best a few years ago. Also it's perfect for the canoe.
  5. Thanks! That's exactly what I sounded like when I caught her.I've fished Pleasant a few times and its a good time. You will have fun
  6. Hey guys, I got out with my buddy today at Spofford Lake (that's one for you Irishkid). Caught a lot of 2-3 pound LMB's, and this 4.5 pound smallie off a floating dock with a senko. I'm pretty sure I scared two chicks sunbathing on the rock pier with my hoots of excitement. Beautiful day to be on the water
  7. I like Hunts, but it gets a lot of wind. I bet yesterday it was just howling there. The first time I ever went there, we fished in wind for a bit and caught a few good ones. Then we went back to the launch where my buddy fell into the water just trying to get out of the jon boat. It was pretty funny, but I cannot seem to get him to go back...
  8. Hey guys nice fish. I got out on Spofford lake yesterday. Caught a lot of big smallmouth and largemouth bass off and near beds. Biggest smallmouth was 4lbs 12 ounces. Biggest largemouth was 5lbs 9 oz. The average size of the fish in that place is incredible. I had a pike on had to be almost 10 pounds...it was crazy.
  9. Nice fish NHBasssin!! Thanks for the info Bob. I'll be up there quite a bit in the next couple weeks due to my annual 2 week fishing vacation. I've got an 18 ft Nitro, so if anyone wants to meet up, or take the backseat some day, post or PM me. I live in the Peterborough area and will be fishing Spofford, Franklin Pierce, Newfound, Sunapee and Winni.
  10. Nice fish everyone!! Hey BobH64-is there a public launch at Lee'e Mills?
  11. Nice fish guys! Glad to see everyone getting out. I got out yesterday and today. Slow day yesterday..only managed 2 LMB around 2lbs. One on the jig and the other on the jerkbait. Today I got out and caught 5 smallies in a few hours. All on the jig around wood in deeper water None under 2 lbs, and the biggest was this beautiful 3lber.
  12. Hey Guys. nice to see some fish! I got out today on Cunningham Pond in the canoe and did OK. Went out from 3:30pm-6:00pm and caught 3 LMB on a Lucky Craft Slender Pointer. 2 of them were pretty small, but the third was a little over 3 pounds. All the fish were in 5-8 FOW around rocks. Terrible iPhone pic of the 3+ pounder. Not too bad for the first outing. Good times!
  13. Massesecum is about 80% uncovered, with just the eastern side of the lake and launch frozen. Powder Mill Pond is completely open.
  14. Stumpfield was still about 40% iced over on Monday. I'm going to be out in that area today and will check Massesecum and some other spots. Congrats on those who have already caught fish!!!
  15. The bottom is rocks, rocks and more rocks. Dark brown bottom with extremely clear water. Green pumpkin senkos cannot go wrong at Winni, spinnerbaits, tubes...usual smallie stuff. I'll be up there in May for a couple days at Newfound hitting the smallies. I may go over to Winni on my last day.
  16. I'm up for fishing the Nashua River. Sounds good to me!
  17. If Spofford works for everyone, it's a great place. Huge parking lot with a ton of parking as well as a double ramp. It's got some rocks to watch out for, but otherwise I think it's got it all.
  18. Hey Shane! Yeah, I've got a little girl who just turned 2. No better time IMHO to start training her to be the first women winner of the Bassmaster Classic. Just hit Dicks in Keene today and wiped them out of 4" senkos, bitsy bug jigs and a few other things.
  19. Thanks man. It's nice to be back posting. A 2 year old really cuts into my fishing time! My current favorite is Spofford Lake..it's got it all. Big LMB and SMB, and giant pike. Big thanks to Fintan for showing me around.
  20. I'm in if Shane is out. Just kidding, but I think he is the heavy favorite! It's going to be good to get back on the water.
  21. No problem. I've been really busy myself and I really only get to fish on the weekends. I don't think I've had the Nitro out since June.
  22. Haunted Lake is a fun time. There is a good amount of Milfoil in it,and the launch is nothing to write home about, but it's still a good time. there are a good amount of LMB's in there. I've fished there by myself and with Wagn a few times and we have always caught at least a few fish.
