  1. yeah, I feel like I'm saying "It was just nice to be nominated.", but it really was just nice to be in the boat agaian listening to the Red Sox in the sun on the water, hoping for something to bite.
  2. Yeah, I'm having the same dilemma. I'm alsio wondering if we should change the location to somewhere that will have been unfrozen longer. I just drove by last Monday and it was completely covered with ice. thoughts anyone? I know a couple seacoast lakes that have been ice free for a couple weeks.
  3. I got out on Powdermill Pond today in the Nitro. No luck, but it was nice to be out there in the warm sun tossing a line. Water tmp was between 41-45,and there was still a decent amouut of ice, so I was not expecting a lot of action.
  4. Got the Nitro back today!! I'm thinking of hitting the Merrimack or somewhere on the seacoast tomorrow if I can manage it.
  5. Yeah, it's real easy to find. Exit 5 off of Route 89 North. First right after you cross the bridge. Follow signs for the bat launch.
  6. Nice one Shane! Saw someone out on turkey pond today in a vhull trying to break ice!
  7. um, so when are you bringing me to MA? the nitro was held up at the marina, but they did not think to call me until Friday. Grrr. Should have it by next friday.
  8. That sounds like a plan to me. :-) I've never fished the river there before, but I've heard really great things about it. What's the water temp at now? I was actaully considering driving south to MA this weekend and hitting up somehting down there.

  10. Nice job Shane. I'm aching to get out there. I get the Nitro friday, so I'm halfway there.
  11. 4 is Big, but not BIG. That was a sweet fish though. Hope you make it!
  12. List so far: Boaters w/ seat: TripleD, fmoore, Shane (not there until 2ish) Boats w/o seat: Jay, wagn, nhbassin w/clr9933 non-boaters needing seats: bwillis, nixstyx(?)
  13. List so far: Boaters w/ seat: TripleD, fmoore, Shane (not there until 2ish) Boats w/o seat: Jay, wagn(?), nhbassin w/clr9933 non-boaters needing seats: bwillis, nixstyx(?)
  14. 4/23/11 is the date. We can start anytime. If you can believe it. I'm considering coming in my friend's jon boat with an electric trolling motor. I want to be able to get way back there in the stumps, and I'm afraid to do that to the nitro. Should be fun!!
  15. OK. Here's the updated list: List so far: Boaters w/ seat: TripleD, fmoore, Shane (not there until 2ish) Boats w/o seat: Jay, wagn(?) non-boaters needing seats: bwillis
  16. Hey guys, if you want to take part in the NH Get Together on 4/23/11 at Stumpfield Marsh, just post in the NH Get Together 4 thread. Everyone is invited!
  17. Cool. Let's just do Stumpfield. We know there are good fish there anyway. Shane, do you have an open seat in the Nitro, or are you full? wagn, does this help you make it? We need Anglers Inc. !!! List so far: Boaters w/ seat: Jay, fmoore Boats w/o seat: non-boaters needing seats:
  18. Yikes. Turkey is off the list, but lets hit it up sometime Shane....in your boat. LOL! I guess it may have to be Stumpfield Marsh. We know there are a lot of fish there anyway. I spoke to someone today that claimed to pull BIG bass out of Powder Mill Pond. I'm a little wary of going there again as it's so big and shallow it's tough to fish.
  19. Sounds good fmoore...lets plan on that. As far as the Get Together, lets go ahead and change the date to 4/23/11 to hopefully open it up for a few more people. Stmpfield sounds good, but I know it gets busy on the weekends. I'm willing to give it a shot regardless, but I'm open to suggestions. Anyone know much about Turkey Pond(s) in Concord? Would that work for a small get together?
  20. Thanks for the heads up fmoore! I'd still be up for fishing Spofford on Friday, but maybe we should chage the get together to Saturday at Massesecum or Stumpfield. No trout in either of those!
  21. Thanks so much. I think we are going to go out of gate 31, which is on the list in that link. I was curious if they had trolling motors, but I really doubt they do. It's kind of a pain because there is a 20-25hp limit on motor;s, and mine is a 90.
  22. I'm actually from NH, but I just moved pretty close to the Quabbin Reservoir. I've heard it is great fishing, but I know there are a ton of restricitions on fishing there. I have a quick question about the rental boats there. What type of boat, what type of motor, are they available at all gates, etc...Can anyone help me out? Thank you!!
  23. I'd be up for changing it to that weekend if it means it is easier for people to make it. I've been putting it on fridays to reduce the chance of boat traffic, but I am really flexible.
