  1. That's great!! Nice work!!!!
  2. Great pics everyone!!! Any word of what happened to NH Bass fishing? Anyone hear from him yet? I hope all is OK.
  3. It really was great to meet you guys today. Sorry I ahd to leave a couple hours early to deal with the trolling mottor. Look's like my boat is out of commission until I get a new one. We will have to do this again in the fall, or in about a month or so when all the lake activity has slowed down. Then we can just go where we want regardless of boat traffic issues. I've also have to commend wagn and Dunphe for the outfits and extra effort. You guys rock!! Here's the Bassresource flotilla!!
  4. Myself (Jay) and bwillis Wagn and guest fmoore and NHfroggin Shane J & NHfisher- nashua fisherman and guest UNHbass and NH Bass fishing badcrawdad and guest OK. I think that';s it. Let me know if I screwed anything up!! See y'all in the AM!
  5. that is exactly where it is. It's a big area on the right just after the bridge if you are coming from 202. Sounds good bwillis. My cell is 440-3009 if you want to give me a call in the AM if you are going to make it there early. Here are the coordinates for the launch to plug into the GPS if you have one: N42 57.340' / W71 56.141" OK...here's a potential list of people and partners. If anyone else already has a partner, let me know and I'll amend this: Myself (Jay) and bwillis Wagn and guest (NH froggin?) fmoore and NH Bass fishing Shane J & NHfisher- nashua fisherman and guest UNHbass and bassmaster6 badcrawdad and guest It looks like we may still need a spot for NHfroggin unless he is with one of the other boats already. If not, we can try to squeeze 3 into my boat. It's only 18 feet, but we can give it a shot! Final note for everyone, get ready and bring the heavy line. This place has a good amount of weeds, and there are some big fish in there!
  6. Tom, I think the trolling motor will be needed, but it's def. big enough to bring the gas motor. There is a short run down a river channel from the launch to the lake. Shane, where are you coming from? I'll shoot you some directons. Anyone else that needs them, just send me a PM with your address or town you are coming from and I'll get you some directions. OK. Here is the final list of people: Boats Myself (Jay) - Boat. open seat. Wagn - boat. no open seat fmoore - boat Open seat. questionable Shane J- Boat. Open seat nashua fisherman - boat. no open seat. UNHbass - boat. Open seat Needs seat bassmaster6- canoe- could use seat. NHfisher - needs seat bwillis- needs seat NHBass fishing - needs seat We have 4 open seats, and 4 guys that need seats, so that works out fine. I'm going to get there pretty early (maybe around 6:00am or earlier) to try and check out the early morning topwater bite. If anyone wants to meet me, let me know! I'll come back to the launch at 8:00am to meet up with everyone.
  7. Sounds good to me. I think most of us will have livewells too if we catch a hog to show everyone and then drop her back. I'm still planning for 8:00am, but I'm sure 8:30am will be fine as well. It's going to take a while to get everyone launched and ready.
  8. you are all set Shane. Just sent you my cell #. OK guys. It looks like it's going to be Powder Mill Pond in Greenfield. It's a very shallow lake overall so it's going to be a lot of trolling motors and fishing the weeds/milfoil. Wagn, if you want to do those trophies, that would be great!! If anyone needs directions, the launch is just off Forest Road in Greenfield, at the south end of the ponds.
  9. Yeah, it can be a lot of fun given the correct circumstances. I'd love to do some striper fishing someday.
  10. Well, I think it is decided, but I'm just wanting for a report on the water level and I'll let everyone know ASAP. Please let me know if the info below is incorrrect. Boats Myself (Jay) - Boat. open seat. Wagn - boat. no open seat fmoore - boat Open seat. questionable Shane J- Boat. Open seat nashua fisherman - boat. no open seat. UNHbass - boat. Open seat Needs seat bassmaster6- canoe- could use seat. NHfisher - needs seat bwillis- needs seat NHBass fishing - needs seat
  11. NIce to see people are catching!! wagn and I got ot for about 4 hours yesterday morning until my trolling motor pin bent. We did pretty well catching LMB's and SMB's in about 4-8 feet of water. Usually near cover of some sort. Wagn caught most of his on a spinnerbait, and I caught most of mine on senkos and yamamoto tubes rigged on a gitzit jig head. Sorry about he short trip wagn! I drilled the hole out and now the correct pin fits so we should not have that problem again. I'm also getting another prop just in case that groove is bending them.
  12. Sounds about right! Thatnks Roadwarrior!
  13. anyone??? Bueller??
  14. I've never fished it either, but that's a great smallie area. I gotta drive the boat up there as well....
  15. I went to my favorite canoe only SMB spot the other day with my buddy. The fishing was a little slow, and I could not find them in their summer spots out deep. I went shallow and found bass cruising the shallows in pairs and gangs of 5 or 6 fish together. They were in less that 2-3 feet of water and were not afraid of the canoe. They also would not eat anything thrown at them, and they reminded me of fish I've seen cruising the shallows just after winter. There were bluegill beds with some bluegills still guarding the fry. That was the only thing I could think that they would be doing...going after bluegill/bluegill fry. But, I've never seen them cruising the shallows in groups this late in the summer. Any ideas on this behavior? It was really frustrating because they would not eat anything. I think I caught 2 and my buddy caught 2 all morning from 6-11. Real unusual for this place and my experience there. I just had a couple killer days there about a week ago.
  16. Well, I've got to pull the trigger at some point on the decision. I'll have it figered out very soon.
  17. Nice job everyone! Things are heating up again!! I've got out the past few mornings and have done well with the smallies. Went LMB fishing at in Sutton today in the canoe, and we had a great time. My buddy caught one around 3.5, and then I caught the pig pictured below at 4 lbs 6 oz (or so my broken scale told me). I then had another pig on that was bigger than the one pictured below and it came off at the boat. It was a real heartbreaker, but made easier by the 4 pounder I caught about 10 minutes later. 5" senkos were working for me, and tubes and creature baits were working fo my buddy.
  18. I'd be up for changing this to Powder Mill Pond. It certainly has the facilities, and none of us have really fished it all that much. I've only fished it once, and I think wagn has fished it a few times. Just make sure you charge up your trolling motor batteries!!!! I hit aa good sized log there at the beginning of the year with the new boat with the big motor down. No damage, but it made me pretty wary of running the big motor in unknown waters. It will be pretty funny to see all of us making the long run between the two ponds with our trolling motors set to 5! LOL! It sure will even the field between the boats. If we did decide to stick with Franklin Pierce, we are all fine to fish there. They never check about residents at the launch, but I'll bring little signs that say "Guest of " for everyone that comes just in case. The only problem with Franklin Pierce is that it is a busy lake with waterskiers, jet skis, sea planes, etc... Not a quiet place, but it holds good fish. Powder Mill is kind of a mystery to me, and I'm always up for a challenge.
  19. Sunapee is good, but for some LMB's I would go to Massesecum in Bradford. It would be a little shorter drive for you if you come up 93N to 89N to Exit 5 to Route 114, and it's got a good population of LMB and SMB. good luck!
  20. I'd be up for Farmington, but that does make a long drive for fmoore. I'm thinking we may just want to hit up Franklin Pierce Lake here in Hillsboro. Hopkinton could get crowded, and it''s so shallow prop busting could be an issue. There is a chance it could be busy, but I guess we risk that with every lake at this time of year. It's very big (500 acres), and it's got a good launch. So, here's the latest update: Boats Myself (Jay) - Boat. Possible open seat. Wagn - boat. open seat?? fmoore - boat Open seat. Shane J- Boat. Open seat nashua fisherman - boat UNHbass - boat Needs seat bassmaster6- canoe- could use seat. NHfisher - needs seat bwillis- needs seat NHBass fishing - needs seat
  21. Nice job guys!! I got out this am at Pleasant Pond in henniker/Deering and I caught about 7 LMB's in 5 hours of fishing. Pretty slow, but it was nice to be out there in the canoe for a morning. Caught them on a Yamamoto Swim Senko (first time) and got my first annual topwater frog fish on my snag proof frog. Also caught them on 4" watermelon senkos.
  22. Nope, I've never been there. I like Farmington though. So, here's the update: Boats Myself (Jay) - Boat. Possible open seat. Wagn - boat. open seat?? fmoore - boat Open seat. Shane J- Boat. Open seat nashua fisherman - boat UNHbass - boat Needs seat bassmaster6- canoe- could use seat. NHfisher - needs seat bwillis- needs seat
  23. I may also have a seat open on the nitro. I'll have to check and see if my buddy can make it. There are a lot of people fishing this time! That is great! We may have to pick a place a little bigger than Hopkinton. Sounds like Franklin Pierce may have to do it. We can decide that later. OK. Let's get a good list of people that are coming/boat status. If there is a ? after it, it means I'm not sure and please let me know. Boats Myself (Jay) - Boat. Possible open seat. Wagn - boat. open seat?? fmoore - boat Open seat. Shane J- Boat. Open seat?? nashua fisherman - boat Needs seat bassmaster6- canoe- could use seat. NHfisher - needs seat?
  24. It looks like there is a tourney on Franklin Pierce on the day after the planned get together. It may be OK to still go therte, or there may be some guys prefishing the tourney and it could get crowded. It may be wise to choose somewhere else. I like Hopkinton, so I'm game for that again. Any other suggstions?
