  1. Spofford sounds like the place to me!! The idea of a 5 lb smallie has my mouth watering..... Everyone else OK with that?
  2. Hey Everybody!! Well, it's almost upon us..the time we have all been waiting for...the 4th NH Get Together. I'm thinking of doing it on April 23, 2010. Starting around 10 or so. This is going to be great, but I'm not sure where to do it. I think Spofford is an excellent choice, but I'm not sure how quickly it dethaws/water temps....fmoore? I'm sure that Stumpfield Marsh will be open, but it's tough to fish prespawn. Just digging the bass out of the pickeral! There is also Haunted Lake (AKA Scobie Pond), and Pleasant Pond in Francestown. Both have adequate ramps, parking and fish. Pleasant has LM and SM, I think Haunted only has LM. Suggestions anyone? Bow or Northwood Lake? Feel free to post and let me know. Also, please post if you have are a boater/non-boater. If you do have a boat, please post if you have an open seat. I'll start. I have a boat, but I do not have an open seat right now, but that might change.
  3. I'm glad I looked at this thread before I went and posted my 1st get together thread. I think I know where we should go :-)
  4. I'm game. We sould be something in early spring on one of the bigger lakes like Bow Lake or Spofford Lake. I live in Peterborough now, so it would be a haul, buit I'd also like to fish Winnisquam and Newfound Lake if people are up for it. One other thing we might want to consider is starting a new thread. I know we had to stop posting in the old NH thread because it got too big and we were afraid it would crash and lose all the info. I'm not sure if that is still a possibility, but I know this thread is bigger than that one was..
  5. It's awesome you have been catching fish all winter Shane! That rocks! I'm real jealous...with a newborn I have not had time to do anything but watch fishing shows! I did call the marina and the nitro should be all set for early april. I doubt I'll be able to wait that long though. think warm!!
  6. Nice job Shane!!! good for you!! I just moved out too Peterborough, and we have a little one on the way so I have been off the water. Looking forward to next spring!
  7. Nice Hawg Shane!! way to get 'um!!! I drove by a couple lakes this afternoon and it looked windy out there. Good for you for braving it and it paying off!!
  8. No problem. It does feel like we got shafted on the fall fishing this year. After the hot summer, I was dying for fall. The really cold weater kinda screwed us. Oh well...I'm already dreaming of spawn.
  9. It really was. It felt like summer! Water temps were 55 degrees in case anyone was curious.
  10. Hey Guys, managed to get out in the Nitro yesterday afternoon in that beautiful weather. Probably the last time before I winterize it. Managed to catch a couple 2 pounder largemouth in 2 hours. It was so nice to be out there catching fish!!
  11. Glad to see there are still a few of us out there! I got out yesterday with my buddy Matt. It was really cold and windy in the AM, butthe bite was not terrible. I caught 4 and he caught 1 oveer the course of the morning. If we had a chance to fish the afternoon I think it would have been better. I caught most of mine on tubes and a KVD Swim Jig in Green Pumpkin. cold, but worth it!
  12. Hey triple D shoot me a PM with the time and date. If I'm free I'm always up for wetting a line.
  13. I tired to get out on Franklin Pierce yesterday, but they have lowered the lake level and launching would be tough. I only had a short time to fish, so i was not able to get out there. Hope everyone is still hitting them!!
  14. got out on Franklin Pierce this AM. It was a pretty slow morning, but I managed to catch a decent Northern Pike (2 pounds or so) on a big white spinnerbait, a good sized smallie (1.5 pounds or so) on a wacky rigged senko, and a 3.5 pound LMB on a KVD swim jig with GYCB fat Baby Craw trailer. Pretty slow for a whole morning, but it still was a lot of fun!
  15. Great job Shane!!! those are some beautiful pigs! I've only gotten out in the canoe lately. Had a good day on satuday catching a couple 3 pounders and a 4 pounder. All were near wood cover of some sort. I also saw a lot of fish cruising the shallows. The feed bag is on!!
  16. I'm thinking of Northwood or maybe even Bow Lake? I'd also be game for putting Winnisquam and Sunapee on the list as well.
  17. Finally got back out on the water yesterday. Ddi pretty well catching about 10 fish each between me and my buddy. Most on senkos, but we did catch some on topwater as it got dark. Nothing big...all around 2.
  18. Looking at Octobrer 8, 2010 for the next get together. Anyone have any ideas for lakes?
  19. Hey guys I had a lot of fun as well. Good thing we started early as that wind was tough. NHFroggin caught the most fish, and Badcradad caught the biggest. tough day overall withthe wind really pushing us around. Lets do it ome more time in October or late September. We can do it on a weekend if that helps.
  20. Just checked clarks and it says 5.5 miles West on 114 from 9/114. That's a little further than I thought, but you can't miss the lake regardless. GPS coordinates are N43 14.152/W71 54.556 Looking forward to it!
  21. OK. Of course I drove the route on my way home from work, and I managed to forget to measure the distances. It's pretty easy though. Since everyone but wagn is coming from the Concord area, here are the directions. Wagn, I assume you know where it is? Take 89 North to Exit 5. Follow Route 9/202 West towards Henniker/Keene. Take the Route 114 Henniker exit, and go right at the end of the exit. The Lake Massesecum launch is about 3-4 miles up 114 on your right. You'll see my grey Tacoma and trailer parked on the opposite side of the street from the launch, and it's really easy to spot. The launch is on the right hand side of the road. Launch, and drive across the road to park, or you can park on the right hand side of the road on right on 114 if it's full.
  22. BEAUTIFUL walleye fmoore! I assume that's out of the Connecticut River?
  23. Windy's an understatement. We fished a tourney there about a month back (happened to be dead calm tourney day) and the three times we prefished it was a wind tunnel! The average size of the fish went down the day of the t when the wind dropped off. Good luck guys! I've had the exact same experience there. It really can be a wind tunnel at that lake. The wind is forecast to be around 10mph first thing tomorrow.
  24. UNH is right on. I'll also post good directions with exact distances after I drive it one more time. If people want to do this earlier, that's cool.. I'm going to get there at 6:00am anyway, so feel free to come early if you want. It does tend to get a little busy and windy there, so earlier might be better.
  25. OK. This looks like the final list. NHFroggin, you are more than welcome to fish out of the Nitro with me. My buddy wanted to come, but I'm holding the seat open right now for you. Boats Jay (and NH Froggin) Shane(and Badcrawdad) wagn and Dad NH Bassmaster and brother Boatless: Nobody currently Maybe's: pudmunk
