What is the most common reason you lose a spinnerbait while fishing it?

Northern Pike.

Northern Pike.

X2 plus when bank fishing getting hung up in rocks...

Underwater logs/stumps. I've been known to wrap the line around an overhang or dock piling, too!

Hung up on shore or in a tree.... :dazed-7::cry4::doh10:

Snakehead going into a death roll....

They twist it up like a big paper clip if you aren't using titanium.

Forgetting to retie.

I remember I made the tag end too short and launched a spinnerbait into orbit....All I could do is laugh

Why are you fishing in the tree?... the fish are in the water LOL.

Just thought I would point that out...might save you a few bucks !!

Just having some fun with ya, hope you know that right?

Have you ever tried a wrist pitch? it's a low silent approach.

Mudfish, too many fish and too big of fish, I hate cheap wired spinnerbaits! Also, pickerel, they end up cutting line and ruining baits at time, I guess like pike.

Getting it hung up on some structure.

But you have to throw the spinnerbait into all sorts of structure and cover as that is one of its advantages over treble hook baits.

Win some and lose some.

Forgetting to retie.

X2 forget and sometimes a little bit of laziness too.

Oh Man, I've done that way too many times...LOL...If we fished togather, we may not make a lot of money, but we sure would laugh our @$$e$ off! LOL

For me it's a 50-50 split, age is certainly catching up to me...LOL

Loaning them to friends :laugh5: Don't lose them hardly ever but I have them break at the bend from catching too many fish pretty often. This usually happens when being reformed after catching a fish or when a fish jumps and shakes real hard and I just get the arm and blades.

Just having some fun with ya, hope you know that right?

Yeah. Your fine. I was laughing myself. To me fishing is about fun and if you can't laugh at yourself then your in for a long day. I do use the wrist pitch but not nearly as much as I should.

Hanging up on structure when slow rolling along the bottom - plus I lose some from time to time when squirrel fishing in the trees as was previously mentioned...

I do keep some WalMart spinnerbaits handy to use in place of the premium spinnerbaits when I want to fish some high-risk water to see if anything's home...

Them tree bass will get ya every time.

The wire breaks from catching to many fish. :eyebrows:

Pickeral. If lose a dozen in 2-3 seasons, 11 will be due to chain pickeral strikes.

haha yeah ive launched a couple across the lake before
