Nice Job DogBone, nice fish

Thanks. I didn't think there was anything that big left @ BHR, but I suppose the strongest survive.

Heading to Little Pond in Plymouth after work with Fam. Hope to to catch a couple there @ dusk.

Finally got my goal bass, I’ve been hunting this fish for years. Countless hours and heart breaks.  I started out waking up at 430 am, feeling like crap, mixture of expired cheese and a couple of be

New PB Alert!   Just got back from Wequaquet (air 80, water ~77). Overall, the fishing wasn't great with the water hot and bluebird skies overhead...and yet it all came down to one pitch and

Fished the Old Lexington Reservoir last night for a few hours and got absolutely nothing. It was dead there.

Really?! IO haven't been there in a couple of years because I've been working in Boston and South Shore, but I used to have great success there...HMM...May have to try it on my way home from Maine on Sunday to see what I can see.

Thanks for the report.

Today was the best day of the season for me. I caught all the fish on a chatterbait made by bluebasser. Black and blue with a rage craw trailer. Caught 6 fish in total. Biggest 4lbs a couple 3 and a couple 2lbs. This little pond I fish has so many big fish it's crazy. I wish I had all day to fish I could have caught more I only had a few hours. They were biting today. Hope everyone else is catching them.

I can't tell you how disappointing it is when you bring and use an accurate scale when you fish.

Let me know how you do Jig, maybe I just had a bad day.

Also, I don't have any plastics to throw. Maybe a worm would've done it.

Went out for an hour or so last night, managed to get one little smallie on a trick worm.

4.15lb out of the Concord River last night

Great job Bud!

Thanks!

Always shore fished it, but finally took the bass raider out and went upstream.

The full moon tonight really helped me and my buddy out tonight. All my fish came off topwater frogs.. He had his luck with Rapala. That tiny baby bass got caught on a rooster tail lol.. (Released Unharmed)

That's awesome I've never seen a bass that small before. Wish I was fishing tonight. I've had a good week though caught another 4lber on Wednesday morning after work on a black popping frog. I've been having tons of bites buzzing soft plastics. Mostly rage craws the rage toads I think are too much haven't been getting bites on them. Anything smaller works though. Can't wait for this weekend. Tight lines guys

Yeah I tried those Rage Frogs and wasnt a fan of them. I use the BPS Humping Toads I think their called. I was 3/3 with them tonight.

Greatly appreciated!

Went out Friday after work, got one small bass, one decent bass, and lost a fatty twice. Hit the beach Sunday night for striper and struck out.

Got out to BHR for an hour and a half two nights ago while the wife & daughter were off doing their thing.  Caught a 1 pound bass on the first cast off a T-rigged worm.  Felt some small fish picking at it a few times after, but nothing else.  I was packing up to go and out of the corner of my eye I saw some movement.  Lowe & behold, I'd have to say the biggest bass I've ever seen close up cruise past, along the shoreline....  I'm pretty sure I also saw him look up and sneer at me.

Between the bait fish/baby bass I've seen lately, and the two good ones I caught a back in July, I'd have to say there's some life left in BHR.

Returned for about a half hour or so before work tonight, but made only a handful of casts with a blue/black chatter bait.

Another year going by and I haven't been able to get out much. Man, I only went fishing 4 times, just realized that my last outing was on July 3rd. :Idontknow:

Back to BHR for a couple hours around supper time last night.  Worked a T-Rigged watermelon/copper/red flake Culprit worm and landed one bass, about a pound.  It was crowded there too, five others fishing there.  I left when the lightning got close.

Don't worry Buddy...when it's your turn, you'll be awesome.

Went out after work today. The wind was something else today, but we stuck through it and ended up catching about 6 fish total, all of them off a senko worked slower than slow. I usually hit this place with a guy I used to work with, hes retired now, and without fail he always out fishes me. It's always good to go fishibg with someone who's better than you, makes me a better every time we go out.

Housework & yard work done, new wheel cylinders installed, brakes bled, daughter out with friends, and wife still at work.... YEP, back to BHR before the phone rang with a 'honey-do....'

A funky night.  I brought a new Fenwick 7'6" ML/XF spinning rod with an also new Pflueger Supreme XT on it.  Tied on a Mepps 1/4 oz. in line spinner to see what happens.  Casting distance was shorter than I expected with a 7'6" rod, but sill acceptable.  A few casts into it I get a little tap, then nothing.  That nothing turned out to be a poor little fella barely bigger than the spinner:

Believe it or not I got the treble hook out without hurting it.

I keep playing with the spinner for a little longer and ended up with a decent yellow perch, a tiny yellow perch, and another bass not terribly bigger than #1.

I figure it's time to toss a Senko.  I put a 5" Baby Bass on my bait caster and toss it out.  The third or fourth cast hit the water and within a couple of seconds a nice 2.64 lb. (new Rapala scale...) bass gulps it down.  Nothing else for the rest of the evening.

The last couple nights I've been here, there's been a lot of topwater movement by little fish.  There are a lot of bugs on the surface, likely the reason for the action.

Caught up a couple small SMB up in Vermont this weekend. Got hung up and lost a few lures too--ugh.

We'll see Mike, I'm very frustrated the last 2 years with not being able to fish much. I think I'm throwing in my sticks and calling it a nice 20 year memory.

Any time you can catch a smallie is always good. Don't worry about losing lure to hang-ups, you're fishing in the right spots. Keep it up Bud!
