Just can't seem to find a good way to organize my soft plastic baits and trailers. Have tried 3700 series organizers but my whole tackle bag smells like Powerbait and also tried the envelope style worm binders but they just don't get a good seal or there isn't enough room. Have about 20+ pouches of various soft plastics from Senkos to Powerworms. Let me know ya'll.

I just bought a Cabelas worm binder I plan to fill this weekend. The bags in the BPS binders looked a bit cheap and leak prone. They had very good reviews here though.

A few sandwich size resealable plastic baggies with various like-colored plastic baits inside. ie... dark colored grubs (variety of sizes), light colored grubs and flukes, clear grubs, dark worms and dark tubes. Throw them in a side pocket of a small tackle bag and that about covers it.

20 bags is nothing to keep unorganized. I routinely keep over a hundred bags of various soft plastics in my boat and I'm unorganized more often than not. I make efforts to get organized, I really do.

Currently I try to keep similar types of soft plastics together in gallon zip lock bags, and then I keep the different gallon bags of soft plastics in a soft tackle bag. (It will hold 8 or 9 gallon bags) I keep three of the soft tackle bags in the boat. I also have a medium sized basket (roughly 10" by 15 " by 10 " deep), and in this basket I keep plastics I'm planning to use that day and new plastics that haven't been sorted into the gallon bags yet. Ultimately, it doesn't matter because after a few trips at best your soft plastic collection will devolve into some state of disorganization. That is the nature of plastic worm collections.

Keep trying, at some point you will reach some system that will appease you for a while and really that's all you can ask for.

I keep the soft plastics in their original bags and store them in plastic shoe box containers, they are cheap and stack up nicely inside the boat compartments. I use a sharpie to write description of contents on top and side for quick browsing.

i use plano boxes and leave them in their bags. very handy. when fishing a certain plastic just grab it and throw it on the deck no need to go to the box every time your worm gets torn.

I keep them in their original packs and then put them in these by type.... Worms in one.....trailers in another.

Gallon ziplocks stored in a gym/duffel bag. Holds around 30lbs of plastics in their original bags lol. All my friends call me overkill

maybe you dont have the bags perfectly closed?? i keep them in the original bags, and then store the bags in 3700 organizers... i can fit 8 bags per organizer, and 5 organizer per tackle bag... that makes 40 bags easily stores, and if you fold them properly, you can see which worm is in which bag by simply opening the lid...

I do the same. If I was on my laptop not my phone I would show you the exact Plano box. It is just a deep box with no dividers. Keep them in their bags and store them in Plano box. I have 2-3 in my tackle bag full of plastics. Best system I have seen or used. Its prefect.

I keep them in their original bags and then sort them by type, into 1 gallon Hefty(sorry about the brand name) freezer bags because they have an area suitable for writing catagories on the bags with a magic marker, and by nature are extremely strong. Then they are easily taken from the boat to the big KVD pouch if I'm fishing in a different boat. This seems to be working nicely, so far.

I keep jig trailers in a zip lock bag in a side compartment of my tackle bag.

Check out the container aisle at Home Depot.....usually aisle 3.....

Store them in original bags. I then clip all the same colors or size together with golf bag clips though the holes that would hang at a store, and then throw that with corresponding like baits in reusable grocery bags.

So all 3" trailers in green on one clip, 4 inch in purple on another clip, etc. Then all craws are kept in one bag, worms in another, creatures in another, and finesse in another.

Ok thanks guys for all the feedback. Will have to try a few ideas and see what I come up with.

Keep them in original bags then place the bags in a Tupperware container that's flat enough to fit in my pack with my small tackle box. I'm a shorefisher btw

Here, this is what i use.I currently have 2 of these in my bag full of plastics like trailers, worms, creatures etc. Like i mentioned before, all the plastics are kept in their original packages and then put inside the box. I also have a plano box full of cranks, a box with jigs and another terminal tackle box. I keep my spinnerbaits in a soft binder in the side of my bag.

I use a tackle bag, mine has 3 zipper pockets, I keep worms in one, single tail grubs in another, double tail grubs in the other. I keep them in the plastic bags, each pocket can hold around 10-15 bags, and each is filled with what I use most. I stopped using tackle boxes for plastics because to me, they are better used for hard tackle that I own.

I use heavy cardboard and write the names of the types of baits on them and place the cards facing out of the drawer so I will know what is in each drawer.

I have a special drawer where I store my newer plastics or ones I plan to use in the very near future.

It is fun to reorganize the baits in the 25 storage draws during the winter months.

I use a walmart bag and a headache. I do have some in a plano 3700 but I still have so many that I can not use boxes or my boat would look like a cargo freighter.

I'll usually keep the plastics in their original bags, stored in gallon Ziplock bags, and kept in small, dry Rubbermaid containers stored inside the boat. They're well organized this way, away from the humidity of the boat lockers, and marinated in JJ's Magic.

I am just starting out so my collection is small still, I was just throwing them in my tackle bag, but as I picked up a few more packs they started to not fit so well. I decided to use my old tackle box and use it as a dedicated bass box. I have soft plastics on one side and my hard stuff on the other side.
