Anyway, .ghoti. and others on this board have that rod and most speak very highly of it as I recall. I have the Avid version of that rod and it's a nice stick. I love bargains, sometimes to excess, and a LTB for $128 shipped is not to be ignored. Until last night, I had 7 BC rods rated as light or medium-light power...now (when the long tube arrives) I will have 8 ! Good thing I like light tackle...

Well so much for the extra money I was going to have from this paycheck. How is a guy supposed to resist being able to buy 2 of the rods he really wants when he's basically getting the second one free?? Just not fair. On the plus side I'll have a new 6' 6" MH spinnerbait rod and a new 7' MH worm rod soon

Just ordered the very one you recommended (LTBC69MLXF) I don't think I can get a better deal anywhere.

Shimano Calcutta 200GTB, Shimano Curado 100D, Shimano Curado 200E5, Pflueger President, or NOS Vintage Lew's Speed Spool? I use 10# and 12# mono/flouro line and cast very light baits: unweighted worms, Senkos, Rage Claws, small crankbaits.

I'd put a Curado 50E on it...

Curado 50e goes well on that rod.

What would u use a mlxf rod for? Senkos maybe but what else?

I use it for 3-4" finesse wacky worms. Kills them down here. (Because no one goes that small) I live on a bayou and the bass will rarely go above 3 lbs. So the smaller the bait the better the chance.

Lots of weightless worms.....been killin' them on FishNFool worms too. Rigged weedless and weightless. Slow fall. Chartreuse/black.

I ordered the St. Croix Legend Extreme 6'9" ML/XF a week ago and I love it! I have only thrown light shaky heads on it so far, but i could see it working well with wacky worms too!

Wel, I took your advice and actually found a Daiwa SOL brand new and ordered it today! Was a tad expensive at $212.00 , but i bit the bullet and ordered it. Told them to ship Friday, since Wednesday we are about to be hit by Hurricane Isaac! I want to commemorate this extraordinary experience with my "Isaac Reel!"

Now , how's that for optimism. Going to ride this sucker out on the banks of the Little Natlabany River!
