Where Are My Other Crazies????

Featured Replies

Started bass fishing January1st of 2012 this year and love it! I plan on fishing year round here in NC. When I fished from January - March I didn't get more than a few hits. Maybe due to the cold weather, or lack of experience. Anyway, I want to use my new found knowledge and try all seasons. Who all fishes 365 year round?

I can and do since we have weather to do so in fl

I do it's Definatly a challenge especially since you can't practice one season all year ping you must wait for it to come and be able to master your techniques for the season in order to consistently catch fish

i fish from february to the middle of nov then its hunting for a month or so (filling the freezer) then january is a month to relax and get ready for fishing again

I don't hunt. However Zachb34 is spot on. All these months of practice will be just what I need for the winter months!!!!!

I fish all year long. My wife wishes I didn't! So I do take off some weeks in the dead of summer, just so she thinks I don't fish too much!

i fish as often as i can from feb-nov., only been fishing a year but i go at least 3-5 times a week.

I'm in texas and the winter is short, but I keep fishing through it. There have been days when I slid my jon boat down a snowy bank because the ramp was frozen over. Caught some nice bass so it was worth it.

this will be my first winter since i started fishing and i was actually wondering whether or not id be able to catch anything in the cold or not. glad to hear that its still possible because 3 or 4 months without fishing would have been excruciating.

I fish pretty much year round. The only breaks I take are for hunting and sometimes do both in the same day.

i pry fish every month of the year except for December. The ice isnt thick enough but still too cold to get out on the boat. Also dont want to tow the boat when there is salt on the roads. Then once the ice gets thick, i pull them through the ice and enjoy every minute of it. Last year though, we had a mild winter and only got on the ice once, and that ice was only 3 inches thick.

Im on the water about 10 out of 12 months. Once mid July gets here, I'm done. I will usually start back after the first cold front in Sept which is scheduled to hit early Saturday morning. I will be out with the rising sun Sunday morning!! Lows in the high 50's and a high under 90? I'm STOKED!!!!

Jan-March is a great time for big fish, as long as the waters liquid ill be fishing

As long as the air temp is going to get above about 25 degrees and the wind isn't blowing too hard I'll be headed to one of the power plant lakes we have close by on my days off all winter long, some of the best fishing of the year at times.

If the water isn't frozen over and the temp is in the high 30's to low 40's I will be out.

I fish year round, but have a heated water area close to me and portions of the Lower Potomac River which fish better in the winter months.
