Done. As LMG said, there are many reasons for "birds-nesting" (I prefer the term professional overrun :smiley: ). For those of us who have used baitcasters for a while it is almost always user error. If you can come up with a proprietary solution for that, you will be a very wealthy young man. Good luck.

Done, but your survey stops far too short to give meaningful results to the average angler, other than the manufacturer, the cost of the reel, and the experience of the user, The type of line being used, and the weather conditions also play a significant role when it comes to birds-nests. That said, I think it is a pretty good high-school project. Good Luck!
