i was looking at some pictures of some craws and saw one that was almost all blue with white in some places so that got me thinking about making and trying a blue and white jig. so has anybody fished with a blue and white jig? i know blue and black is a very good jig as i have alot of confidence in it but what about the blue and white?

I use blue/white swim jigs a lot in the summer. I have not tried blue/white jigs with a craw trailer on the bottom though.

I have had some lights out days using an all blue jig! One of my favorites is the Northstar Custom Baits flippin blue color. I would add a white craw to an all blue jig and give it a try! 

I think the next time I order some jig heads I will tie a blue and white jig and see how it goes and let you guys know.

Sapphire blue is a great jig color. Never tried with any white but I wouldn't be surprised if you could catch some fish on them. Most of the craws I've seen in the lakes I fish are either dark brown all over or alternating dark and light browns, usually both will have red or orange tipped claws. There's tons of different kinds of craws but I'd rather just know about the colors of the ones in the lakes I fish. I'll often take the time to flip a few rocks my first time at a new lake and pay attention  to not only the colors but the size and numbers of craws I can find.

very cool. Looks like a lot of our craws are golden craws.

bluebasser86, i too have been paying attention to the craw colors whenever i see them....being we fish alot of the same lakes my main colors are browns and greens with a little bit of orange or red thrown in. i was just curious to see if anyone has tried that color and i think im gona give it a shot and plus tying jigs is alway fun to see what i can come up with and hope it works lol

You a few schools of thought; match the hatch, match the hatch and add highlight colors, use high contrasting easy to see color combinations. All work at times and tinkering with color combos is what makes bass fishing fun.

I have never seen a wild crawdad in the lakes I fish with some of the jig colors I use successfully.
